Actually thats not a bad point. If today has shown us anything its that 10 caps vs 10 bombers is enough to crash the server. Have to applaud it really. I'm hoping future sieges can be dealt with using reactive tactics instead of complaining on the forums, on both sides. Well done guys, well played. :) Port Smallwood - Vladimir - 07-15-2012 Quote:Fact is , when the hessians decide to oorply log 12023489 caps to counter the 24258243823 caps that are attacking the base of their enemy Rheinland Military made a base in o3 and sairs are attacing it? Why nobody told me? 8| Seriously sairs are so funny when they try to tell others how to rp it just physically hurts my sides. Quote:It was funny as hell watching 10 Legates turn tail and run from a few bombers. Next time I'm going to turn on FRAPS and set the video of all those caps running to the Benny Hill theme or something. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFzf3O4yjZE&feature=plcp 3:20 sair legate seeis jormwall approaching and cruises away (rofl) even despite still having an advantage i guess thats just a trait of those players Port Smallwood - Madvillain - 07-15-2012 Port Smallwood - Prysin - 07-15-2012 ' Wrote:That's not really cheap, it's tactical insight. But the rest of you can come back later and face 9 legates with about 90 solarises spread out between them Im sure its fun dodging 480 solarises a second... sure it wont be a problem at all. Well - after having my 5 minute sandwich and a nice laugh over the benny hill theme idea, I'd like to revoke my statement calling it lame, and admit it was an intelligent move from a tactical point of view, even if it was for other reasons as you say!:) You see, the thing that bothered me about it is the idea that siege caps could avoid a 4 hour timeout like this forever, simply because we can't catch them quickly enough. After all, there's something else I've been wanting to express: This is still a game, and not a war. The whole sieging has been going on for days and has been so stressful for all - and I imagine quite unrewarding for the besiegers - that it might be worth thinking about taking a step back from this. In other words, I personally would rather see a balanced and moderated event deciding the future of the base at the moment, than this endless struggle, forcing everyone to invest hours every day on attacking or defending this base. In the end, is there really nothing else to do ingame we could focus on? Port Smallwood - Vladimir - 07-15-2012 Basically, right now, if somebody wants to kill a base, he should just wait until that base misses it's daily supply routine. See the base losing %? Go siege. That's the only way. Don't just sit around for days with 234234234 battleships and expect it to die somehow. Especially if you've made everybody hostile towards your faction inrp. I still stand by it as a good way to settle this without crashing the server. And yeah I guess it was a good strategy to use cloaks. Sorry for the heat of the moment rant. |
