Very well, yes. You contacted my husband awhile ago. Yes i'm also aware of his rather poor choice of wording to reply with. I made my opinion on that suitably known.
She leans back a little.
So, what did you have in mind between our two companies? Surely you know we are not doing so well either, so I am tolerably interested in this so far as common best interest goes.

With a raise of his brow, Daniel looked upon his wife a bit curiously, a bit perplexed on how she spoke on the matter."Mein dear. While it was Nelly who suggested the dinner, it was me who wished to talk about some of our proposals and possible co-operation between our two companies." With a bit of a smile, he reached into his suit pocket and pulled our a trio of dataslats, handing one of them to Nelly and the other two to Rasmus. With a deep breath, he began to explain himself in a slight touch of nervousness.
"Nelly.. . What you see before you in the work of a full years and the devotion and apex of the Republican name. I hope to make it one of the greatest achievements to the House of Rheinland. The Eisenbahn Project."
With another deep breath, he turns his attention to Rasmus, sliding a pair of visuals dataslates before him. "Herr Rasmus. These are the new protypes for our replacement Uruz. The first one is fully Republican. As I know from experience ALG has made a few notions of fully purchasing the Uruz from Republican. This is one such model our teams designed. However the other.. Is something I admit I stole a bit of ideas from ALG Golem. You might recognize a few bits of it." Each visual upon the datapads lit up, showing each design and its visual specs before them.

Nelly took the dataslat and grew silent, focusing on the text displayed on the slat.
"Give me a few minutes, Daniel."
She said without looking up from the slat.
From the corner of her eye, whilst reading the slat she watched and awaited the reaction of Rasmus.

Rasmus looked at the first datapad with confusion. He twists and turns the model, but cannot figure out its intended purpose. He then looks at the second datapad for a moment, then his eyes light up. He looks up and quickly down again. He tries to tone down his entusiasm as he walks over to Nelly to show her the models. His eyes move between Daniel, Nelly and the datapads as he speaks.
"I cannot for the life of me figure out what the intended purpose of this first model is... It looks like a sled with some gas canisters... and some kind of big exoskeleton in the back. Is the exoskeleton supposed to hold smaller ships or something? Is it a slavage or repair ship or something like that?"
"Then there's this other model. It's... It looks really awesome!"
Rasmus cannot quell the look of boyish enthusiasm over a cool new toy.
"Just look at it! It looks really well armoured and perhaps also well armed. Who needs an escort when you have a ship like this? It's like it says 'get out of my way or be crushed'! With a ship like this we don't have to worry about going through the border worlds and other pirate infested areas. We might even be able to expand our operations into the edge worlds and closer to war zones."

Glancing on the slats Rasmus showed she noticed potential for the second design. Looking down again, mouth hidden from the view of the others Nelly let out a faint, amused smile.
"Ja Ramus, Ich concur."
"Veris, Ich hope you are enjoying yourself, the view is exquisite, if Ich say so myself. Aber, Ich can call in the waitress so you can order some food for us. Ich expect we're not done here within a reasonable time, und thinking und talking on a empty stomach is a dreadful thing."
Without awaiting Veris her answer she continued reading on her slat.
"Perhaps you could enlighten Rasmus, Daniel. He seems like a kid in a candy store."
She mumbled.

Daniel gave a nod to Rasmus as he raised his paw towards the first datapad, pointing at several parts of the design to help explain upon it. "The first one here stands upon the similar frame of the Uruz currently being distributed and constructed. However we took a design similarity of the Colossus, and applied such to the Uruz. It could become the basis of a Colossus upgrade later in the future should the need arise. Expanded defense features and hull integrity, while at the same time, not compromising transport capabilities"
As he spoke he glanced over at the conversation between Nelly and his wife, giving his head a shake as he declined her offer, then returned his focus back to Rasmus. "Indeed. We took a few things in design from your vessel, giving it a stronger forward hull and reinforced plating. The cargo coverings are a radical design, while the vessel chassis is mostly seen on simple Interspace trains, we decided to use the Golem's carrying structure to our design. Just simply turning it around. Which.. Brings me to my conclusion for these designs."

Rasmus listen to Daniel with great interest. With one finger across his mouth and the others grabbing his chin and scratching his beard while supporting his elbow with his other hand. He was then interrupted.
"Huh, oh! Right, I'll have the Stuttgart Cot Steak."
He then returns his focus towards the datapads.
"So how do the new designs compare to the ships they are about to replace? How many turrets can the generators in these ships support?"
Rasmus brings up his personal datapad and open up a database via the Neural Net.
"The Uruz is a beast in that regard with its 12 turrets. The Colossus on the other hand only has three turrets, but they are both massively armoured with the equivalent of 15 and 15.5 Meters Of Steel respectively."

Waiting for Rasmus to finish his sentence Nelly grabbed in her breast pocket for her cigarettes. She took one out and lit it, intensely watching both Daniel and Rasmus.
"Sorry Rasmus, Ich habe an question to Daniel."
"Daniel, what is puzzling me at this point is why are you showing us this?"
She placed the datapad next to her and sat back.
"ALG, in all its humility, is nothing more than a waste recycle company. We do not posses the required bases for the enormity of constructing both ships und tradelanes. Don't get me wrong, Ich am very interested in these projects, und ALG would clearly benefit too, but what is our take in all this?"
"Und besides, why are you not in conclave with Daumann? They are after all your trusted business partners, I'd say so."

Veris decides to finally speak up again.
In theory yes. However as of late recent...endeavors and results have made us question the validity of this. Our reports and figures show a trend that is not... of benefit for us or our long term plans. Those over at DHC have been cutting us out of more and more of late, weather it be bitterness over the alster contract or some other reason.
She sighs.
Suffice it to say, we of republican are smart enough to realize the truth of the matter, and it would be thus: to continue to support them with nothing in return only hurts our bottom line, and rheinland itself.
She leans forward, a dangerous glint in her eyes.
You do also have one nice thing. Warship plating. I'm sure you salvaged much of that in the sigmas due you your work. Would we re-use that alloy plating we could save weight as well as have a stronger armored hull for these designs, resulting in better performance over the rated steel plating currently in use for the standard two ships. Giving a smug pirate a taste of rheinland might would be a rather entertaining moment, no?

Chuckling she finished her cigarette.
"Ach so. Ich am one to be playing games with these 'smug pirates', und ja, our panels are known throughout Sirius for their strength. Sure, they are priced accordingly, but what price would one place on his or hers own life?"
"Yet, Ich am surprised the mutual agreement between the two of you is apparently frail, at best. Not that Ich am complaining at the moment, ALG already has a strong, solid position in the market in Rheinland und outside, oder, Ich would see it as my mark upon ALG to expand it into new territories, never really explored ones, though. Aber, ein cooperation between Republican and ALG.... sounds very promising."
She lights another cigarette and inhales a couple of times.
"Rasmus, you have been quiet since Ich have been talking. What is your take on all this? You are after all in training und Ich would like to hear your opinion or questions on this matter."
