RE: Rheinland Federal Polizei Message Dump - Byzantion - 06-26-2017 ![]() Priority: Medium Encryption: Medium Identification: Kadett Rolf Schönau Source: Planet Hamburg Subject: Patrol Report + Emergency Scramble After-Action Report Guten abend. Kadett Schönau reporting. This report will consist of two segments, separated by a brief landing period on Hamburg at the conclusion of my initial patrol of the day. In addition, before I go into detail, I would like to formally apologize for the lack of reports regarding my first day in service with the Polizei. In addition to my ship possessing an ineffectual cruise disruptor due to my own folly, there was a malfunction with my gun-cam programming that the techs on Brandenburg only recently managed to fix up. Thus, I do not have appropriate evidence to file complete reports of the incidents on those days. Wachmann Albert Leopold should be able to clear up any details of my initial performance you may require. I began my patrol from Planet Hamburg. I moved to the Hudson jump gate and kept watch there, and patrolled back to Alster Shipyard at regular intervals. Exiting the lane near Battleship Westfalen, I came upon a Sunburst freighter, designation Ravenmaw, and scanned him. I attempted to inquire as to the destination of his Neon cargo, but he did not respond. I found this suspicious, but not worth abandoning my post for. [Had scans, disappeared? Might need to hand in Phantom for inspection again.] A short time later, I was passing the orbit of Hamburg when a Kusari-built freighter exited the lane, freelancer identification Aliaron. He told me the destination of his Thorium MOX cargo was the "Alaska" system, which doesn't appear to be on my NavMap, but my scan results checked out, so he was free to go. [Scan results included: --- --- ] I remained in vicinity of Hamburg for some time, and encountered a Junker liner, designation Adhafera, carrying diamonds. Scans picked up no illegal goods, and the pilot was silent. Seems to be a habit among haulers to keep their traps shut these days. [Scan results included: --- ---] After this period, traffic through Rheinland space slowed, so I officially ended my patrol on Planet Hamburg and headed to a local cafe to attempt to write this report. However, I received emergency communications that a transport was seen hauling slaves in-system, and returned to my fighter with all due haste. Less than a minute after my take-off and docking ring exit, the slaver ship, a Gallic train under the designation BuHunblx, exited the lane in Hamburg orbit. I immediately had the dockmasters aboard the docking ring and Altona deny him all access, disrupted his engines, and cut off his route to the lane. He did not respond to my demands for him to release the slaves and submit to a fine, and continually attempted to charge cruise engines, request docking clearance from Altona, and attempt to use the lanes. I threatened that I would be forced to remove his transport's weapons if he did not comply. After a period of silence, I informed him I would begin removing his weapons and began to drop his shields, at which point he opened fire on my fighter. It was at this point he began to move in the direction of the inactive jump gate via impulse. I returned fire, working to disable the vessel. After a period of roughly seven minutes, during which the transport changed directions multiple times and seemed to be attempting to return to dock with Altona station again, the Polizei transport Himmel von Berlin arrived on-scene to support. After providing him with a final chance to surrender, during which he did not cease to fire on us, we resolved to destroy his ship. Regrettably, the majority of slaves on-board died in the explosion, with only ten percent managing to get to escape pods during the combat. The Himmel proceeded to collect the pods and deliver the survivors to Altona Station. [Scans + 'cam stills included: --- --- --- --- ---] (I'm told the majority of slaves evacuated the ship, actually. Chalking that up to faulty scanners again.) After attempting to respond to a call by Wachmann Leopold in pursuit of a Junker carrying contraband, who managed to dock on Kreuzburg Depot, we returned to Brandenburg Base. Leopold and the Himmel docked immediately while I stayed on station a little longer to screen some passing transports. A BMM Bretonian train, under designation Serenity, was carrying a large amount of ambassadors that it said it picked up as fare from New Berlin. I was confused by this odd choice of cargo, but as there was no contraband on-board I was ready to let him go. However, I later reexamined the laws for passenger transport, and may have acted in error. Article Three, Section 1.4 of Rheinland space law states: "Transportation of more than 100 persons is restricted only to liners and ships of size up to 3.000 cargo units." In my haste, I interpreted this as "3.000 cargo units or above", which would include this particular transport's capacity. Upon review, I come to understand that it instead refers to ships under the listed amount. Is this interpretation correct? I would like some feedback to this question. If I did fail to fine him properly, and those ambassadors suffered poor conditions on-board that transport, I will accept all responsibility for my failure. [Scan results included: --- ---] A short time later, a Republican freighter under designation ESS-Mobile-HQ passed by Brandenburg carrying only a crate of Rheinbier. The vessel may be related to a similarly designated vessel transported by Wachmann Leopold a few hours earlier in the day, known as ESS-18. Some sort of subdivision or subsidiary of Republican we've yet to hear about? [Scan results included: --- ---] Not long afterwards, I decided to return to the station on Planet Hamburg and compile my footage. Fate decided it wanted to put me in suspense a little longer, though, and I passed two transports, designations Ancient_Trader (Serenity-class) and StarGames (Albatross-class) near Dortmund and Essen station, both carrying large amounts of black market firearms. I immediately gave the order to halt, upon which both transports began to flee. When I threatened the use of force, the Albatross cut engines and held position, while the Serenity fled. Strangely, the Serenity was flying under an Ageira identification, though it is the opinion of this polizeimann that said ID is a forgery. I fined the Albatross for his cargo and, in the absence of an available transport, destroyed the firearms once he jettisoned them. I'd have posted the Serenity's designation to the database, but as of this transmission this has already been done by Wachmann Müller. [Scan + 'cam stills included: --- --- --- --- ---] I then returned and landed on Planet Hamburg with no further incidents. This might be a hell of a lot harder than work planet-side, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. Kadett out. The effort you've put into your patrol report is exemplary. Unfortunately mistakes like yours happen during the time as Kadett. However, that's what the time is for, of course; you're a Kadett in order to learn. Regarding the misunderstanding of yours; transports above the size of 3000 units of cargo, except Liners, are not allowed to transport more than 100 persons. It is very unlikely that you would like to be transported inside a train container, stacked together with thousands of other humans, isn't it? Sehr geehrter Herr Muller, Your recent promotion request didn't go unnoticed and, as you fulfill promotion criteria, you're hereby officially promoted to Detektiv. You are going to receive access to the SEK Tempelhof, SEK Berlin Tegel and LS Saarbrucken. Good luck out there. However, I'm doing this extra paperwork as that's what I get paid for. Every requirement for your promotion to Wachmann is fulfilled; now you are allowed to request your own Condor Class Civilian Gunboat, and/or access to our new Condor, which should be ready to be used soon. Good luck at your future career. We intercepted a smuggler with Blue Jillies that could have possibly been an LWB supporter. We asked for a simple cargo inspection and dropping of his political contraband. However, he has refused and returned fire. We dropped his shield. He refused once more. We peeled off his guns. He refused. Then we gave no exception and destroyed him. ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Rheinland Federal Polizei Message Dump - Freeroamer - 06-30-2017 ![]() ![]() PRIORITY: Medium ENCRYPTION: Medium IDENTIFICATION: Deketiv Calvin Müller SOURCE: Nibelung Polizei Plaza, Planet New Berlin SUBJECT: Known Violator Goedemiddag, Kameraad Politieagenten I made an attempt to follow a vessel that appeared to be hauling supplies for what I suspected to be an unlicensed station. ENCRYPTION: Medium IDENTIFICATION: Wachmann Rolf Schönau SOURCE: Brandenburg Base SUBJECT: Patrol Report Guten abend. Wachmann Schönau making my report. Before I start I'll mention that, for the sake of brevity, I'll try to only include scans and gun-cam still shots in routine reports when it is to prove involvement in a crime or when they're otherwise relevant, unless the brass requests I do differently. My patrol began out of planet Hamburg. I made a routine sweep along the lanes to the Hudson gate, then back in the direction of the Brandenburg + Bonn intersection once I picked up lane traffic heading that way. I pulled over a DHC Hegemon captained by one Nikolai Demidov, hauling uncut diamonds to Manhattan he claimed. He checked out, so I resumed patrol and then caught a pair of Junker salvage frigates, designations ".:J:.|Blaker" and "junker-vengeful_one", both hauling uncut diamonds towards Liberty. They passed muster as well, but I'm skeptical of how they acquired the cargo. Can't trust Junkers to not infringe on Daumann's mineral rights after all, but I had no evidence, so I let 'em walk. I'll be keeping a close eye on them if I see them in Rheinland again. I got scan results backed up to my office terminal here on Brandenburg if you're interested. Some time later, in the vicinity of Oder Shipyard, I spotted what looked like a Gallic train bearing a Daumann ID. Interested, I pursued it and requested it stop, and it only complied when I caught up to it at Mannheim Station. Ship designation was "Sandro", although the captain never spoke a word to me. I revoked his docking clearance and was running a check on whether Daumann utilized any Gallic trains when the ship dropped off my scopes completely. I don't know where it went, or how it evaded me, and the dockmaster on Mannheim assured me he didn't dock there. I'd run this guy by the Daumann big-wigs and make sure they know about him. [Scan results + log included: --- --- --- ] I made my way back to Brandenburg, and on my way I caught an independent miner in a Hegemon, designation "CMV-Atlas-1" and a cargo bay of aluminum ore. Curious, I asked him where he mined the ore, and he admitted that he acquired it in the Munich system. Naturally, I proceeded to tell him that he is not to mine from corporately-owned fields in Rheinland without the express permission of the owner, and fined him a million credits. In retrospect, I should've gone harder on him and levied the full worth of the cargo for transfer to Daumann, but I figure not going too hard on him might encourage the man to go legit, maybe get a job here. I catch him again, I won't be so lenient. [Scan results included: --- --- ] Lastly, I got reports of a transport carrying industrial hardware that was refusing to stop when one of our polizei gunboats, the Willemstad, attempted to pull it over. Designation was "T3M|-Terroruk", by now well-known to us. I arrived late on the scene at the Omega-7 jump gate where the Willemstad had the vessel stopped. The transport had sustained damage from our gunboat, and I inquired as to the offenses and the fines to be levied. After a short period of the captain complaining to us, the Willemstad proceeded to disable the transport with its guns. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure whether procedure was followed there, but that's a matter for you guys upstairs to sort through, since that wasn't my sting. This concludes my report. Wachmann Schönau out. ![]() END OF THE MESSAGE

ENCRYPTION: Medium IDENTIFICATION: Wachmann Rolf Schönau SOURCE: Border Station Ulm SUBJECT: Patrol Report Wachmann Schönau here. I'll try to keep it brief, there's a lot of traffic on the lanes right now I need to get back to, but this can't wait. Following the incident with Terroruk, the vessel hauling supplies to an unlicensed station mentioned in Wachmann Müller's report three days ago, and the recent request the captain made to the registry, I conducted a few repeated sweeps of the Omega-7 system. After a hefty amount of time on autopilot, I discovered a suspicious installation to the relative stellar north of the Stuttgart jump gate, sector 3H, bordering 3G. [Camera stills included: --- --- --- ] Since I've got the opportunity, I'll run down two other major incidents that happened the day prior. The first was, and it sounds a little ridiculous writing this but bear with me, a Libertonian carrier coming out of the lane near Brandenburg Base right in front of me, designation "Andre_SD." I didn't have any Military or Polizei vessels in-system to assist, so I managed to keep things calm and explain to him that orbiting a massive foreign warship near major Rheinland installations is a problem, and that he had to leave. He was cooperative, and I escorted him back into Hudson without incident, but I'm pretty sure the guy and his crew weren't actually Navy personnel, based on how clueless the captain was. Consider ringing up the Libs and telling them someone stole their carrier, maybe? [Scan results + stills included: --- --- --- --- --- ] The other incident was comparatively tame and routine. Caught some Junker mooks in a frigate, designation "Leon_Nettoyeur", moving artifacts in the direction of Liberty at the Dortmund-Essen bend. He refused to give up his artifacts and booked it. I chased him through the Hamburg gate and on to Alster Station where I locked him down with disruptors. He then proceeded to fire on me, and I engaged. Eventually the polizei SEK gunboat Weser arrived on-scene to assist. We gave him a final chance to surrender and were more than accommodating, but the vessel was unresponsive and continued firing, so we destroyed it. [Scan results + stills included: --- --- --- --- ] This concludes this report. Back to the grind. ![]() END OF THE MESSAGE
RE: Rheinland Federal Polizei Message Dump - Techpriest - 07-13-2017 ![]() ![]() ENCRYPTION: Medium IDENTIFICATION: Wachmann Albert Leopold SOURCE: Vierlande Prison SUBJECT:Patrol Report Whew, this was a hard one. After taking out an LWB base installation that was about to be finished, I was interrupted by Corsair Transport that dare to use our trade lanes and smuggle Black Market Arms. Using my tactical genius, I easily dismantled out his guns for he was heavily armored and destroyed his vessel after he had no more guns to fire back. I shot at the illegal arms for they were of no use to us and obsolete by our standards. ENCRYPTION: Medium IDENTIFICATION: Wachmann Rolf Schönau SOURCE: Brandenburg Base SUBJECT: Patrol Report Schönau reporting in. Apologies for the break in reports, headquarters. It's been a tough couple weeks, since the Alster Union took down two Warans and a Phantom under my care. I'm still getting over some nasty injuries sustained in those ejections, but I'll count myself lucky enough they didn't manage to snatch up my pod and feed me to starved dogs or something. My backed up scan data acquired on the patrols prior to then can be considered toasted. On to the current report. I began my patrol out of planet Holstein, after my replacement fighter arrived planetside. I made my way up through the lanes to Hamburg and the Hudson gate as usual. I doubled back to New Berlin and made a loop around the trade lane network. With a lack of significant lane activity in New Berlin, I went back towards Frankfurt to check the Sigma-13 jump gate and to sweep through Munich. On the lanes between Mannheim and Mainz, long range sensors pinged back a ship, designation "Molloch", with an Outcast tag. I was too far away to get a lock on him, and he dropped off screen. I did a quick runabout in the area where I picked him up, but I couldn't find him. The only thing in the area he was likely to be headed for was the Bremen hole, so I got back on the lanes and rushed to Hamburg to see if I could cut him off at the Bremen anomaly in that system, if he decided to keep in Rheinland proper and not escape to New Hampshire. Go figure, after a lengthy wait at the Hamburg-Bremen jump hole, he came through. He was an Outcast all right, a Rapier VHF. I immediately ordered him to cut his engines and was preparing to question him, but when he charged his cruise engines in preparation to escape, I promptly disrupted him. The mook responded by engaging me with guns and missiles. I didn't have a moment to spare to call for backup, so I fought back. The dogfight must have lasted about half an hour, and mein Gott my hands felt numb on the stick when it was over, but I narrowly managed to bring him down. My time putting hours in the flight sim is finally paying off, huh? Don't know how you career fighter jocks cope with the stress. [Kill confirmation: --- ] I returned to planet Hamburg to get repairs (and a cigar, damn my nerves) and went back towards New Berlin for another loop around the lanes. Got scans on a few freelancer Sunbursts, an Interspace Commerce transport, everything on the up and up. At the New Berlin-to-Hamburg gate, though, I came across two White Shipping Company ships, a pair of Serenity transports. They were carrying premium scrap, but one of them didn't have any armament, so as a convoy they were still particularly vulnerable. As I'd escorted their ships before, I figured I'd give them cover on their way through Rheinland. Now this is where it gets fishy. They told me their destination was a WSC base in the Omega-11 system. To my knowledge, there is no such base in the registry. Furthermore, when we were in Dresden, instead of going to the Omega-11 jump hole, they went to the Omega-55 jump hole and went through. I followed them through to the other side, which I admit is leaving my area of duty, to remind them that they're going the wrong way, but they only comm'd back to say I was out of my jurisdiction and silently cruised off. They were right, so I turned around and headed back to Rheinland proper seeing as they weren't about to listen to me. Like I said, seems fishy. [Scan results + 'cam stills included: --- --- --- --- ] [Communications Log included] That concludes this report. Wachmann Schönau out. END OF THE MESSAGE
RE: Rheinland Federal Polizei Message Dump - Snoflek - 07-18-2017 ![]() ![]() PRIORITY: Low ENCRYPTION: High IDENTIFICATION: Wachmann Elvira Winter SOURCE: Planet Holstein, Frankfurt System SUBJECT: Independent Patrol Report 002 Guten Tag, Rheinland has been mostly quiet during my patrols over the last few days. Whatever activity has been reported however, is usually resolved by the time I can arrive. Other than that, I've had very little to do. Of course, one can accomplish very little simply waiting around. So instead I've gone ahead and began to investigate areas where reports most commonly come from, notably the eastern sections of Franfurt, and the Frankfurt System in General. I've interviewed Agents of the BDM who have been able to better help pinpoint areas for my search, and I feel I'm close to uncovering something major, I just need to keep looking. I'm afraid that's all I have to report for the last three days. I hope to uncover more soon. This is Wachmann Winter, Signing Off. ![]() |
