This doesn't sound like you understood what I said.

And even if... this plan is not worthwhile for anyone.

pobs are a lot of work and cost money. If I have to do that I could as well just trade something else. And in addition to that... the pob will be found and then it will be destroyed.

I really, REALLY wish that the event management ''team'' are taking notes here. You cannot plop an event down and expect people to participate in it only because of it being linked to the new progression system. That does not work. You yourself stated that this is to encourage the activity of IDs that are not normally used much. But you need to realistically see what you are asking of your members here:

You are asking them to create a ship with a minimum worth of 20-25 million credits which, due to the popularity of the ID, cannot be sold off after the event.

There are very little people on the server who have the PVP skill to, without any problems, create a ship and expect themselves to make the money back via the one million per kill pool. I understand that you do not wish to oversaturate an already broken economy, but there needs to be at least SOME sort of motivation for this. Realistically the only players who can participate in the event without really worrying about expenses are Junker IDs due to them being so many.

If you wanted to use this event system for something productive, you would have set one up for the Liberty-Rhienland route. I do not know if it is physically possible right now, but perhaps adding a non-regenerating field to the counter would have given you something along these lines:

The Hudson gate is in trouble - one side tries their best to fix it, while another side sees the poorly defended (Due to the dangerous area) construction site as a ripe source of stealable goods. There are two bars, one for resources being brought to the system from X, which would represent repairs being made, while the field with its limited amount of resources would be the other bar. Motivate people to allow any ID and ship combo to have the commodity drop and have it sell somewhere not too far away for an amount of money that would provoke this - 20 000/u maybe.

Not only this would have made a defend-the-zone event for people trying to protect it, but also would have encouraged smuggling of the cargo that the gate field dropped, giving LPI and RFP something to do.

Depending on which bar would have been filled first, the result would have been either another Texas Incident or a fully functioning gate.

Why didn't you something like this or similar, but instead went with this kepler thing, I have no clue.

Oshi! Four kills now!
