Coalition Recruitment Thread - aznremix416 - 05-18-2009

Adrian looked at the Coalition officers. There was another man that entered the room, a coalition officer. He could not tell who he was; Russian, Arabian, Chinese? The statement of the Commissar was directed towards him.

"...this one is stupid enough to dodge my bloody questions, even after I've told him not to. How bloody hard is it to answer a question about what you'd do if you destroyed some sort of historically important national treasure?!"

Adrian quickly responded, "Comrade I am not trying to dodge your questions! You asked for them and I answered every one of them. Oh and for the last question you asked me, If I did destroy some historic important national treasure, depending on what it is, then I should be punished accordingly. Maybe death."

Adrian looked at the barrel of the gun. He has done his best to respond to the Commissar. He was a crazy one, but understandable. While he looked into the black barrel of the gun Adrian calmy said, "Comrade...any other questions to ask me sir?"

Kirill Stukov was standing in this mixture between drying blood and pieces of brains. "Damn it! The first thing I will do after this is cleaning up my boots..." For a short time he was thinking of getting back to his ship to take some sips from his homebrewn vodka. But maybe the officers wouldn't understand this. So he decided to stand there and wait for a decision.

Julio Quinetillia halted in front of the recruiting office door, pausing to take in the sights and sounds of the surrounding corridors. There were several blood trails leading from the room, graphically adding illustration to the stories that the Commissariat would execute any spy or otherwise morally corrupt scum that attempted to infiltrate the People's Army. The efficiency with which the blood trail owners must have been exterminated made Julio's chest swell with pride.

Breathing deeply to calm his racing heart, he knocked crisply three times before opening the door and marching in, calling back drill training from the days he had belonged to the Revolutionary Youth, a cadet organisation the Coalition had run on Crete in years past. That had been before the obscene mockery of a Regime that was the Corsair Council had recognised the threat the SCRA had posed to their corrupt and class-steeped ways.

He murmured the timings to himself under his breath. Left, right, left, right (halt) check - one - two, IN! His polished boots slammed to a halt, slightly blemishing the surface by throwing up a light spray of blood. Then a salute to honour the comrade-Commissar's rank and a return to standing to attention. Only after this did Julio notice the bodies that lay littered around the room in various states of mortal existence, and the two other recruits that stood nearby.

"Hola Comrade-Commissars! Julio Quinetillia ready and willing the serve the Revolution!" The three officers turned to glare at him, one leaning on the desk holding a kebab, one standing with a large side-arm in his hand and the other seated behind the desk: Captain Thorvaldsson, Commissar-Captain Gorodetsky and Commander Weise. From the smell of the alcohol fumes coming from one or the other, they may well have exploded had someone lit a lighter under their noses.

Coalition Recruitment Thread - Bjorn - 05-19-2009

Bjorn rose up, put away sabre and slinged a crossbow over the shoulder, and finished off last bits of kebab, tossing paper wrapping onto one of the corpses as he passed towards new recruit.

"Comrades, I will leave you to clean up that mess, and Gorodetsky, get back into the closet, or at least take some care of yourself, Weise, clean up that ammo and guns." He turned to face Julio, measuring him from head to toe.

"You, "amigo" are going with me, I would like a bit cleaner place to work at. Follow me" With that he passed corsair and went for room across the halway, unlocking the door with ID card.

"So, tell me, Quinetillia, how is Crete and those high nose elders these days? Do they still only quarrel between them while people suffer?" Bjorn proceeded to sit at the desk, and showed Julio empty chair in front.

Gorodetsky snarled as Thorvaldsson attempted to call him a homosexual. Screw him, he thought, he could have him branded a traitor...

Actually, that was probably a bad idea. He could take it out on the two applicants in the room with him and Commander Eugen Weise.

He squeezed a small microphone on his jacket, speaking into it softly, but menacingly,

"Guards..."

Before he could even finish what he was saying, four brutish men in thick, dark armour, their entire heads obscured by terrifying full-face helmets, barged into the room.

Eugen looked around, startled, spitting a little.

"Where the hell were you hiding those steroid-pumped freaks?!"

Commissar Gorodetsky stood, calm and composed. Wasn't he a drunk twenty seconds ago?

He smiled. That wasn't good.

"Take Stukov and Koslov away. Permanently. That is all."

Adrian felt the buffed hands of the guard grasp his shoulder and started to pull him away. Adrian started to sweat and yelled desperately,

"Wait comrade, I am a true man in my words! I believe in the revolution, let me have a second chance Commissar Gorodetsky!"

His words fainted as he was dragged out of the room.

Eugen crossed his arms, watching Gorodetsky leave behind his goons.

"So, I'll assume that lot hides in the closet with you then... Sir." As the Commissar turned, face full of rage, Weise kicked the door closed in his face, returned to his desk, and brought out a bottle of tequila. Pouring drinks for himself and the ex-recruits littering the floor, he stood, and offered a toast.

"To the Revolution Comrades! Now, since you're not feeling so well, I'll just take care of these for you, as you're rather indisposed at the moment..."

Slamming back the shots, he glanced at the glove covering his left hand. Pulling it off, and dimming the lights, he let the purple glow bathe the room, and watched the swirling patterns dance on skin that was no longer his.

Julio stood to attention beside the chair until Captain Thorvaldsson motioned for him to sit, at which point he did, his hands clasped on his lap. The Revolutionary Youth had taught him the merits of chain of command and self-discipline, along with the inevitable death of the Capitalist Past and forging of the People's Government through the fires of the Proletarian Revolution.

"Comrade-Captain, the Elders of Crete still maintain their rule of idiocy over the peoples of Crete, bickering among themselves rather than serving their people. I myself come from the city-slums of Heraklion and have seen the suffering. The Elders care for their own familia's and disregard all others around them as insignificant and worthless. The people yearn for the uplifting freedom of a new order, despite the fact many of them scorn the Coalition and it's ways. I pity them, but I know that eventually they will be converted, once the misconceptions that blind them are brushed aside.

"I myself, and the Banda de Revolucionarios attempted to bloody the wallet of the class-steeped regime by bombing one of the city's outlying Artifact mines that belonged to the Riviera familia. The mine was severely damaged, but my Revolutionary compadres were all either killed or had their belief broken and fled with their task incomplete during our mission's execution. Once I returned to the city, one of the Revolution's agents picked me up and sent me to Ronneburg for processing."

The Captain nodded slowly, before unbuckling the sabre and laying it flat on the desk before him. "In comrade Weise's office, I noticed you had been trained in foot drill. Where did you learn that?" He asked the question authoritatively, and Julio jumped at the opportunity to please. Any information he possessed belonged to the Coalition, true saviours of a free Sirius, as did his life.

"I belonged to 14 Detachment, The Revolutionary Youth, which was a cadet organisation created to enlighten the young men and women of Crete as to the wonders of the Communist way of life, and prepare them for a life in service to the Coalition as vanguards and guardians of the Revolution. I acheived the cadet rank of Serzhant before the Council outlawed the Coalition and the spreading of any materials related to it."

"I am well aware of TRY on Crete, as I am well aware of its leadership foolishness. You see, even if I wasnt born there I served my time with corsairs, long ago during Rheinland and Dragons war. Had an estate near Jerez. But I digress. Anyway, now tell me, why shouldnt I kill you on spot as corsair spy?" Said Bjorn with grin, clutching the sabre.

"When I was young I was enthralled by a speech I overheard in the streets, made by none other than the Cretian People's Hero, Comandante Adrian o Jovem. After this I began to study the ways of Communism, and recognised the failings of the Elders that ruled, and how true governance of the People by the People could be brought about.

"I have since had an unshakable faith in the righteousness of the cause, which lead my enlistment into the TRY. This introduced to me the concepts of true justice. The law and justice system of the Coalition is so effective, that if the Commissariat deems fit to place someone on trial, it is almost certain that they are guilty. The mere fact that the Commissariat has accused them cries out their wrong-doing.

"Because of this, if I was a spy you would already know my employer, purpose and contacts, and I would more than likely already be dead for such treachery. Due to the fact that I am still alive I can deduce that the Commissariat knows I am not a spy - however, if I have been affected by subliminal lies of the Capitalist pigs, I would beg that you execute me now, lest I suffer from the moral degradation that so many of Sirius' people are afflicted by.

"I live for the Revolution, and if needs be Comrade-Captain, I will die for it. My only goal in life is to free the Cretian people from the grips of the bourgeois, the rich and powerful familias that herd the People into the slaughterhouses of oppression and slavery."
