I had not met most of you in VC or server side, but through the laughs and tears I believe I made some new friends. Even in the afterlife, Vito is still bringing people together.

On 23 SMT, The Order fleet had gathered over high orbit of Toledo to pay their final respect to their fallen hero. Commodore William Storgen, also now known as Humanity's Shield would turn down his more than tenfold earned promotion to Admiral due to his humbleness in life. However he was buried with full honors as a Grand Admiral, Fifteenth in the sequence, as a parting gift from his friends, comrades and students. After concluding speech by Grand Admiral Golanski and many of his friends like Dr. Shultz, Colonel Lungren and many many others, coffin of Storgen was launched into the cold expanse of the dying embers of stars that we all would now know as his tomb. Ever so mindful to carry on his torch for as long as we live, The Order returned to its assigned duties while taking a last look back... to ensure that ultimate sacrifice of him and many that came before him would never be in vain.

My tears, once overflowing with the sorrows of my soul, have become a wasteland, where even the most heart-wrenching pain fails to cause a single drop. I've become numb with this... memorial...

In the depths of my sorrow, I find myself caught within a heart that is too heavy to mourn, desiring to bid a final farewell, and pray for eternal peace upon the most honorable soul I have ever encountered, Vitoniz. Thank you for everything, my brother. I will most certainly miss you. Rest in peace.

I only talked a short time with him.
And thanks to Michi/Golanski I at least know him a little bit.
Losing good people always hurts...
But we all should remember about him one important thing: Don't be sad he is gone. Be happy he was there!
A good guy who has given any single one of us a sweet memory!
With that we all will say: Have a good rest and have peace! Because some day, we all of us will join you, brave hero!

War never changes. The war continues to take lives. I hope you will not be forgotten Vitoniz. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!

Vito, dear friend. It kills me that you had to go for such an unneeded conflict. Peace to you.

I feel like a heal in that I am just now seeing this. As a veteran of combat, there is no lower feeling than losing a brother in arms. RIP, Vito. You're a hero to us all.

I know it's been a year but I've only just found out and it's a bit of a gut punch. Indulge me, I should like to say a few parting words of my own.

We exchanged a lot in 2019 and 2020, I remember most his constant enthusiasm and characteristically borked english. Here's a good example :

His last message to me, left without a reply since I was away on assignment at that point was : "sorry, but can you give a peasant role in MNG chat?".
I know he died for a valiant cause, but I'll miss him. Truly a strange world when Disco friends leave for war and don't come back.
We have a customary saying in the French military in such instances, and I think it fits Vito quite well.
His devotion honours us, his sacrifice compels us. Son engagement nous honore, son sacrifice nous oblige.
