Miscommunication - Spear - 06-27-2009 So this about the proposed final destruction of FP11? Hmm ok, I can see some nice RP from that, I doubt that's going to happen soon and I reckon a faction like the Zoners (that are strong enough to enforce their own will in the middle of the Outcast/Corsair war) would have a new FP and new space to discover. These changes all seem like next version discussions, they ain't going to happen fast, I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. I have to admit I don't have all the facts here so this is my last post on the matter until I understand it better. Miscommunication - Seth Karlo - 06-27-2009 I would like to point out that we can't destroy FP11, as it would result in character corruption for anyone docked there... You can add some damaged components to it I suppose... but removing it would require moving (Manually) every character docked there. -Seth Miscommunication - ophidian - 06-27-2009 From my point of view, all players are equal, including Igiss, Hoodlum, me, the guy signed today. I have no right in any way, in any means of input that I created, to tell that I am in a more higher level of appearance than thet newbie because a) I will always be older than him/her. b) I don't know if his/her input will be much richer than me after he/she is settled up. Because, if people are not equal on a stupid game server (sorry folks), then there is no meaning in contributing anything. This applies both ways to the arguers. My opinion. Miscommunication - Exile - 06-27-2009 The whole concept was basicly to repeat Freeport 7. Just like it, Freeport 11 'Dug too far and too deep', if you will. A series of key events would lead eventualy to the destruction of the Freeport and to the Zoners in Omicron Delta moving to a new station. Namely a colony ship (?) in the eastern nebula of the Omicron Delta system. That's the very rough concept in a nutshell for you. Miscommunication - MB52 - 06-27-2009 Why not add a little bit of incentive for the Zoners. Maybe if they succeed in the initial defense and push back the Nomads, they realize more defenses are needed and can "buff" up the station/put a stationary juggy nearby to prevent further attacks? Miscommunication - Exile - 06-27-2009 That might work too. Like I stated several times before, the concept is still rough. Discussions have yet to be held and options to be considdered. Freeport seven was in the middle of no where, Freeport eleven is not so much, it's in the middle of a war between the order and the BHG. But yeah, I would still like to see it worked on, I just think the order and the BHG should probably be brought in as well. Miscommunication - pchwang - 06-27-2009 The problem, as I see it, is that Mal or any of the other Zoner leadership were not informed of the impending attack. Quite frankly, my standpoint here as someone who loves spontaneous RP is that Mal should have been informed. When I joined this community, I was introduced to real, ingame RP by Mal in LD Inc. I remember that one midnight, when I should have been sleeping, when Mal dragged Yorkie into California with Koolmo, disabled Kool's engines, and began a hostile takeover of the organization. The guy is fan of spontaneous, random stuff. He's good at it. But you don't just go and RP something that will eventually lead to a change on the server without getting input from the rest of the community. Because everyone is going to be affected in some way, shape, or form. No hard feelings to any of the Keepers or Zapp, it's what I believe. Edit: @MB52: Funny you said that about the Jugger, I had the same thing on my mind. |
