Hasnt it gone on long enough? - Elsdragon - 08-11-2009 TO anyone who says That" Council should be running Around outside!"They dont have the manpower to spare to go around Recruiting random people. Other unlawfuls dont WANT out, because it would be bad for buissness.Gallic royals Would never leave gallia, DUe to centuries of anti siris propganda, Plus seeing all the SIrians come in, And steal there goods Hasnt it gone on long enough? - Renzoku2 - 08-11-2009 ' Wrote:I think your misunderstanding what a lot of people (like me) are feeling and Ill tell you what bugs me. I hate how gallia is the ONLY faction to have sanctions in place as deterrents (how about....I dont know just kill them if they are somewhere else like you would a rhinelander in liberty, instead of it being OH MY GOSH SANCTION the second they leave gallia...). A lot less hate would be in place if it was less sanctiony. The reason we don't simply kill the person who goes into areas they shouldnt with Gallic Equipment, is because we actually keep to our ZoI's. One rule violation doesnt justify another. ' Wrote:Oh I dont know, how about making it so council characters couldnt (until the changes) go out and conduct diplomacy, brigands and other factions couldnt mess with the guys in the taus (they want those BADLY if you read their info), junkers spying in and out (I feel gallian junkers should use gallian civillian tech till they get their own line like tenacity is making), any privateers like concept ect ect. Salorn, my friend. Said Attempts have been .... attempted. Note my previous mention of the "Treaty of Reunion" When that occured, people tarred, feathered, and torched it. Saying it was too early to be making "RP Changing Diplomacy" When all it did, was say "Bretonians and Council can trade NON-MILITARY supplies with each other, and they will keep all warships from each other's space" The same was given to Kusari, trade + no warships. Another condition of the agreement between both BAF and KNF was that their war not spill into Gallic Space. However, because of the flames towards the Reunion Treaty, both were indefinitely postponed and have not been mentioned since. Alien isnt exclusively for extraterrestrial beings.... Thats what the term "extraterrestrial" is used for. Webster Dictionary Wrote:* Main Entry: 1alien As also said earlier, Alien...Xeno....Xenophobia... applies to all aliens, even those of the same species. But my point on the matter is that Xenophobia, as phobias are associated with the ""Fear of Something"" is simply the wrong word. That said, I now give you a list of non-phobic words that are just the opposite, as the word "Misos" used in them means "Hatred" as opposed to the word "Phobos" meaning "Fear" Quote:misotramontanism: A hater of anything foreign or of the unknown; such as, one who hates what is beyond the mountains. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And then that, of course, means that Liberty's #1 terrorist group are Nomads. Numerous people as it stands already RP in or With Gallia. They -Want- to RP in Gallia. Numerous people as it stands already avoid RP in or With Gallia. Tehy -Don't Want- to RP in Gallia ----These are the people who whine about the deterrents you mentioned. Remember, these are people who don't even want to RP in Gallia, whining about an area that doesnt involve them. ----My advice? Get to the point where you decide "Ok, I do want to RP in Gallia", live with the risks and troubles. Or simply.......stay out. Theres enough people who want to RP in Gallia to make things interesting. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Does it fit into the map box? The box labeled "Sirius Sector"? Yes? Awesome. As i've said before. It was posted somewhere that "Even though Gallia is represented on the Sirian Map, it is actually far outside the Sirius System, a system of its own"
My guess as to why its on the Sirian Map? Game Coding Limitations or it was simply easier to place it on the Sirian Map instead of going through the trouble to make a new map for Gallia and make it swap out the Sirius Map when someone entered Gallia. It's possible to want to RP somewhere and simply be left unable to due to unreasonable game issues. Let's bring this to a smaller scale for an example I play mostly Outcasts, as would be made relatively obvious by viewing my posts. This means that I have business in... most of Sirius, but primarily Omicrons Alpha, Beta, and Eta; the Taus; Bretonia (Cape Wrath); and part of the Sigmas. Except I never go to Eta. You see, I fly a Scimitar most of the time as an Outcast, and the ridiculous Corsair spawns make doing anything remotely interesting there nearly impossible. You see what I'm getting at here? Hasnt it gone on long enough? - Renzoku2 - 08-12-2009 Not exactly, Thexare. Seeing as other people don't have issue with these same things you consider as a problem, or a barrier, preventing you from doing something. How can something prevent one person from doing something, but not someone else? |
