Also, I am also one of those pirates that will charge you half of your gross profit because I am too lazy to trade and also I know if you had tried or had hired an escort, I wouldn't be making anything.
I am sorry mate but hiring escorts for my run has always been a failed attempt. I trade once a day normally. That run is a 3 stop run that takes me an hour for about 55mil. I have tried over, and over again, but have never had an escort willing to do a full hour run with me.
Then again, I have also never been pirated 2 times in same system, or transport ore.(no where for ZBT to sell it)
Getting real sick of the hire an escort, it is cheaper crap, when no escorts will do a long trade route. The real problem is Pirates sitting in system they know ore is sold in 20K from selling location. But that is an issue with selling locations never changing, and usually only 1 good sale point for each ore type.
Also those who say avoid the Pirates? Hard to do if pirates sit OORP at Only Jumphole leading to only sell point system. It is just OORP abuse of game mechanics.
PS. lol Pirates will always get the lol power traders, and the lol power traders will always complain about the lol pirates.

So true. Most that come here to complain of Pirates are miners/Ore haulers that take TLs to speed up the power trading. Learn to cruise above/below planes in systems where the lol pirates camp, and all good.

I'm buyin a Renzu Liner tonight. 12 guns, 190k hull, a CM, and its pretty nimble.
I have most of what I want so I don't need much cargo anymore. Gonna just run around in my civvy destroyer now:)
