RE: Indie Nomad ID implementation - Mercarryn - 12-03-2012 Pavel, I sugget you read through this thread once again, because then you will see that the ID can only enter house space (where most action takes place) with a K'Hara|-Player. Point. And no, the Omicrons are not dead, though I'd like to see more Core players around, Order side has recently shown =LSF= how many there can be ![]() Serious again, I suggest to restrict the indie nomad ID to Omicrons and Omegas like Order ID and Core ID are restricted to these systems on a certain degree. RE: Indie Nomad ID implementation - Pavel - 12-03-2012 Ok, one day Khara disbands, what then? Also, no Omegas for indie nomads, Omicrons and be happy they are here at all. Nomads should sit on Omicrons and krieg Order/BHG, not fly in house space in groups raping everything at sight. RE: Indie Nomad ID implementation - Pavel - 12-03-2012 I do, what stops indie nomads accompanied by Khara member before engaging all ships they meet, until Khara leaves system? It can be some dead vessels in that time, especially in mining systems. What if Khara dsibands? You're right Alley, pirate and freelancer IDs are abused, but that's not excuse to give certain kind of "players" free terrorist ID. EDIT: Majority of mining systems is outside house space, I do have a reason to fear another group engaging every ship they see. RE: Indie Nomad ID implementation - Rodnas - 12-03-2012 Hmmm, that is true- what is if there is no official faction anymore...as sad as it would be that is something that shouldn't be ignored as it can happen basically every 2 months or so... As for the "engabug all" outside the Omicrons even if accompanied one could try: "-While outside the Omicrons the owner of this ID is only allowed to attack targets in selfdefense or when ordered by a official faction member who is present" ..then again this makes stuff even more rules savy ![]() RE: Indie Nomad ID implementation - Altaris - 12-03-2012 Im still against this. Always was, always will be. However, what about changing that "May freely engage at will blabla..." terrorist thingie into: "May engage freely blabla (suficient RP still applies, no a terrorist ID)" ? Note: Didnt read entire thread. Not interest in doing that anymore, too many threads about the same matter passed by those few years... Then you have no nomads anymore at all on the server, considering if the K'Hara disbands the nomads are bound to become another phantom faction, aka you can always run to get their ID. Honestly though, the idea of noms running around killing people isn't really that bad, it'll force teamplay. In most of these mining zones you have factions with access to battleships, cruisers and so on. Dub got BAF/Mollies, Omegas got Sairs/Coalition/RH/RM, Taus got IMG/CR/GMS whatever else possible. It isn't really any different from a mob of pirate IDs, the worst part being that they have inferior gear and EVERYTHING possible in the world of hostile, and little docking points. "what stops indie nomads accompanied by Khara member before engaging all ships they meet" you seem to forget K'Hara is the official faction representative of the nomads, therefore we can totally order an indie to stop/return to indie allowed space. We can also get hold of the admins and certainly apply a very quick solution with their assistance. "However, what about changing that "May freely engage at will blabla..." terrorist thingie into: "May engage freely blabla (suficient RP still applies, no a terrorist ID)" ?" It's part of the server rules to provide roleplay before engaging. K'Hara and Indie Nomads aren't immune to that. An indie not roleplaying before an engagement can be sanctioned like anyone else. Would rather go with Silent Nomads, then Nomads asking how am I today, do I feel fine and what's the weather in Rheinland. And yes. Pirate ID, when used properly, provides far greater PvP possibilities, and incomparably more bases to land on. RE: Indie Nomad ID implementation - Prysin - 12-03-2012 indie nomnoms? uhm, thats like... morphs, ye?? RE: Indie Nomad ID implementation - Pavel - 12-03-2012 No Alley, it really is bad idea, it's free terrorist ID. It won't promote teamplay, it will promote jumptrading and avoiding interaction at all costs. /l1 ***humans...exterminating invaders...*** is enough RP and valid engagement notice at the same time. Knjaz, Pirate ID isn't kill with only engagement notice ID, you always have LUXURY to pay demanded sum, and continue e.g. mining or proceeding with convoy, eventually later report exaggerated demand. Indie nomad ID should be restricted to Omicrons only. |
