Rasmus looks a bit suprised.
"Steel plating?"
"Steel has never been used for hulls in space travel since... Well, ever, as far as I know. It's simply not suitible for such use."
Rasmus clicks a few links on his datapad.
"Modern ship hull panels are made of a hydrocarbon and polymer base layered with basic and super alloys and infused with boron fibres. We actually make those in Dortmund. They are some of the best on the market. Far better than any recycled scrap you can find in Sigma-13. We are currently supplying Alster and Yukawa shipyards."
He looked at Nelly and interupted himself.
"Oh, right. About the cooperation with Republican."
"I have no qualms about taking down Daumann a notch or two, but we are already allied with Gateway Shipping. It's already difficult being allied to two competing mining factions, and now we are to ally with two competing shipping companies as well? I do of course see the benefit of this joint project and I fully approve of it, but outside that, how far can we go without crossing Gateway?"

Looking towards Veris again she takes a sip of her whiskey and clears her throat.
"Ich hope you don't mind me, or us, being careful. This is rather suddenly und Ich am still adjusting to the idea."
"Rasmus, concerning Gateway, Ich see no harm done in us 'collaborating' with an friendly company from our own house und besides Gateway has been preoccupied as of late with supplying Bretonian assets due to the Gallic invasion. Who knows, if this dreadful war is over we might find a way to incorporate them in our plans... Ich don't see a problem for a company that has been under a lot of stress and less income would welcome a new business oppertunity."

With a simple nod, Daniel lowered his head towards Nelly and Rasmus. "As you know... Lately Daumann has been overstepping its boundaries within the so-called 'Monopoly' between Republican and Daumann. Thinking that they're the center of all Rheinland. With such talk, its only a matter of time before they try to wedge themselves into a position that even cuts us off. If something isn't done, we may not get another chance. I'm about ready to discuss ending our 'Monopoly' with Daumann to the board of Directors for their recent acts.
Another sigh escapes his lips until he raises his head towards them. They have kept us out of several contracts such as base maintence and construction with their depots, and recently took precedent on a secondary company in Koeln. One I have personally talked to on numerous times within my second job in the Federal Polizei. It's no surprise to me in their actions that they're trying to gain whatever foothold they can for themselves and not the House they are supposed to help. Unlike Republican, I haven't seen a single credit go to the benefit of the people, and its those actions that continue to fuel the Hessian movement. While in the other way, Rebulican has been facing less and less Unioner threats each day after Veris decided to invest a large chunk of corporate assets into our Humanitarian projects. I'm sure you've heard of the success so far?

Looking surprised she hears the words Daniel said.
"Nein, Ich have not heard about those humanitarian project, truth be told."
Watching Rasmus and Veris she scrapes her troat again.
"So, you're looking to ALG to become a new partner... in crime, so to say, against Daumann's foothold in Rheinland? Ich see. What still puzzles me is how you expect those tradelanes and jumpgates to be built? Does Republican has such capabilities that Ich am not aware off? ALG certainly doesn't have the required knowledge und Ich don't think you'll invite Ageira to help us."
She chuckles.

As Nelly spoke, a bit of a grin arose upon Daniel's face, "More or less. While Republican doesn't have the capablilities to create such, we have what a weapon Daumann prefers to ignore in using. Charm and a Diplomatic tongue. I have personally broke bread towards Gallia. Or more directly towards Solar Engineering. And from what I have seen upon their network in Gallia, Pirates themselves fear their lane network. I am confident, that we can work together into using such technical knowledge they have to retrofit our own network. And with that, he leaned back into his chair, waiting for the reaction between the two.

Rasmus looked obviously annoyed and muttered something.
"Gallia... It had to be the Gauls..."
He then spoke more clearly towards Daniel.
"To be completely honest, no one in ALG is particulary fond of the Gauls. Our government seems to be all lovey dovey kissy-kissy towards them. Yeah, let's see if that saves up when they are done with Bretonia and Liberty."
"We may have an export licence with them, but that's mostly a technicality. We never go there, except for the Tau systems that they have unrightfully laid claims on and then only because we work with the IMG there."

Watching Rasmus spewing his beliefs about the Gauls Nelly took the time to carefully pick her words.
Rasmus stopped and appeared to be taking a few breaths, Nelly took her chance to fill in.
"Ja Rasmus, you're right in the fact that not that many people are fans of these Gauls in the company... However, we must keep an open mind towards business opportunities such as this one. Ich have just an question concerning the funding."
"Daniel, how are we going to pay for all this? Ich am not looking to put us in a position that we're in debts with these Gauls. Ich know that logistically und constructionally we got it covered und even some security, yet all this would require billions. That said, Ich don't think that we should close out the help of these Gauls either, Rasmus, even though it would feel very wrong. Perhaps we can actually learn a thing or two about them, for our advantage."
She winks to Rasmus with her right eye, as much as hidden as possible from Veris and Daniel.

Daniel rose a single finger with his grin still present, "Whats the one major difference between Aegira and Solar Engineering when it comes to Gate and Lane technology? Flexibility. While Aegira wont move an inch out of their market, Solar on the other hand will, seeing as they are proportionally owned by the crown. And into improving relations between our Houses, this gives us the advantage. With a bit of a turn in his seat, he points his sole finger at Veris, and then himself. "Consider such to be a personal investment on our parts. The cost would be astronomical, but with a united support, the project would be far worth it in the long run."

Silver walked into the Blood Money. The smell, the noise, the voices were different, but all the same.
"Hope it's happy hour."
She spotted a open booth and went there, walking through the people, and taking notes with her eyes.
Finally, as her behind sat in the booth's couch, one of the waitresses came running and took her order.
"The usual."
Her voice replied automatically.
It was weeks before she last sat and drank in this place.
Everything seemed different.. But everything was all the same.
Silver walked into the Blood Money. The smell, the noise, the voices were different, but all the same.
"Hope it's happy hour."

"The concern about funding has been soothed, if we make sure to not get in debt with another company besides ourselves. Und yes... The profits made on this matter in the long run are indeed... too high to be ignored. ALG would fair quite good with the link in Koeln. Ja..."
She looks on the datapad.
"If we were to go through with our plans, how soon can we start with both plans?"
