SF Message Dump - Firebird - 05-02-2007 Transmission to: SF Personnel Comm. ID: Admiral Firebird Subject: KNF convoy and interdiction RP It has come to my attention that the KNF are in need of deuterium supplies from the outer systems and are having to travel through Dublin and Edinburgh to get them. Fighter and Gunboat classes vessels are to attempt to intercept these military convoys when possible. Their quicker speed and manuverability through the fields of Dublin will be a decisive edge. The primary targets are the military transports, any escorting craft are secondary. End Transmission (OOC) K thought the convoys were still in the planning stage but guess not...anyways, its all good  To clarify expectations/agreements, as per discussions with the KNF leadership, to keep this a good continuous and clean RP event, as well as encourage a focus off capship battles, both sides agreed to using gunboats and smaller for the interdiction and escort. I would also like to propose also that fighters outnumber the gunboats. Participants from other factions are welcomed to get involved but would say try to follow the same guidelines to keep this involving only smaller vessels (keep to fighters). And for final clarification, these transports are military transports not civilian. SF Message Dump - gemini_75 - 05-02-2007 Transmit to: SF Command Comm. ID: Gemini_75 Further clarifying of orders: 1. Are we allowed to follow into Omega 49 of head them off in the Tau systems? 2. If we encounter Pirates in Britonia space wishing to attack the convoys do we give them the opportunity(the enemy of my enemy thing)? (I am assuming the Pirates are not going to adhere to the no cap ship rule, they are Pirates after all) 3. Are we hiring mercenaries (or placing a bounty) to help? If so will we post their names of those temporarily allied in the SF Dump? End Transmission ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [SF]-SFF-GEMINI_75 [SF]-SFCR-NORMANDY XXX [SF]-SFGB-MALTESEFALCON ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SF Message Dump - Yngen - 05-03-2007 The Tau Conventions SF Message Dump - Firebird - 05-03-2007 ' Wrote:Transmit to: SF Command Transmit to: SF Personnel Comm. ID: Admiral Firebird 1. Negative, Tau-29 (we'll say the convey is heavily covered by the KNF) and Omega-49 (heavily covered by the Zoners of O-49 during the transaction), would be considered the end systems of the route. Anything in-between would be fair game. 2. Depends on the situation, would say focus on the KNF first then the pirates. However, the cargo is just as dangerous in the hands of the pirates as in the hands of the KNF. KNF are a bigger threat on Bretonia compared to some local pirates hitting a convoy. Take also into account the threat level of the pirates, a larger pirate vessel attacking as a third-party maybe too much to handle alone after dealing with the KNF, but if the KNF are attacking it along with our forces then possible for us to deal with both. Use best judgement. 3. Mercenaries friendly or neutral to the BAF can be hired to assist. End of Transmission SF Message Dump - Pope - 05-03-2007 Transmit to: SF Command Comm. ID: SFF Pope While on patrol near Dublin, a Kishiro trade ship, and it's KNF escort entered the area. [Kishiro]Tekagi-Maru (The Transport), and [KNF]-Jester's Rage (The Escort). An investigation was done, and contact was made with both ships. The Escort was reluctant to mention anything, but the trade ship mentioned they were headed to pick up Dueterium, and something about an invasion fleet. After a brief standoff, I engaged both the transport and it's escort. The battle ended when I was forced to pull back due to lack of supplies, I rearmed at Graves Station. Both the transport and it's escort went into Omega-49. Had I had backup, I feel both ships would have been dealt with. End Transmission. SF Message Dump - Hyperwave22 - 05-03-2007 Transmit to: Admiral Firebird Comm ID: SFF-Thames I have recently decided that the war front is not for me. I need a more diverse unit, thus I am going to request that my fighter, the SFF-Thames be reassigned to the Bretonian Knights. I hope this will suit me better. transmission ends... SF Message Dump - gemini_75 - 05-04-2007 Transmit to: SF Command Comm. ID: [SF]-SFGB-MALTESEFALCON ***FAILURE*** Another attempt at stopping the KNF convoys has failed. I encountered the convoy (KNT-Hexagon_23 [freighter] & KNT-Haiiruguma [fighter escort]) at the O49 jump hole, engaged the freighter first no damage was done to the ship before he slipped into the hole. I then turned my attention to the fighter escort with little success. I remained at the jump hole until they returned and engaged again. I got a couple of shots off before he entered cruise. Malfunctions in the cruise disruptor lead to a chase to the Edinburgh jump hole. On the other side I got a few more shots off ignoring the fighter & the chase resumed across Edinburgh. I engaged & chased again through Dundee. He got a good lead on me and on the Tau-31 side of the hole he was too far ahead to continue the chase. So I engaged the escort fighter to an inch of his life but was unable to get he kill shot. He proceeded to run circles around the ice chunks and me. It got to the point where neither one was going to get the upper hand & he disengaged. I returned to Leads to repair my cruise disruptor. No hull damage was sustained. Side note: all personnel should be aware of the Samurai transports (NPC) traveling through Leads. I destroyed one yesterday with a full hold of small arms on its way to the Tau systems (OOC: after this encounter I believe I need some instruction on the best way to use a gunboat against fighters. Any & all help will be appreciated. Thank you) End Transmission ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [SF]-SFF-GEMINI_75 [SF]-SFCR-NORMANDY XXX [SF]-SFGB-MALTESEFALCON ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SF Message Dump - Hyperwave22 - 05-05-2007 PRIMARY TRANSMISSION TO: All SF Personnel PRIMARY COMMUNICATIONS IDENTIFICATION: Commodore Hypewave The following reports were received just recently from two ships under my command: ::-::Transmit to: All SF Personnel Comm ID: SFF-Thames On a regular patrol, I encountered a Phantom vessel in Dublin. The Phantom was asked to leave, but refused, and reported that it continued to kill friendly ships in the system. The Phantom was stationed at the Edinburgh Jumphole, and only left after four more vessels came to help me. Two BSO ships were very helpful in this matter, and rallied to assist SFF-Koolmo and SFF-Thames. No shot were fired upon the Phantom ship before it escaped to the border worlds. transmission ends...::-:: ::-::Transmit to: All SF Personnel Comm ID: SFGB-Tempest My crew and I have been in the Unknown systems for some time, and we have recently just returned from it. The Tempest is currently undergoing a much needed refit at Southampton Shipyard. Following the refit, we will return to the Unknown system with more advanced technology and better systems equipped for killing and storing Nomads. On our way back to Cambridge, the Tempest was followed for some time, through three systems by two SCRA vessels. The Tempest took damage in Omega-5, but was able to repair its damaged systems, yet with heavy casualties. Once in Cambridge, the Tempest met with the SFCR-Prinz.Eugen, and several BSO ships with the two SCRA fighters in tow. Following some fighting, both ships were forced to retreat from Cambridge. Heavy casualties were sustained on the Tempest, which were picked up by a nearby medical and repair ship. The Tempest was towed to Southampton as it's core was in danger of severe overload. No other severe damages were experienced by the BSO or the Prinz.Eugen transmission ends...::-:: ::-::PRIMARY TRANSMISSION ENDS::-:: SF Message Dump - Hyperwave22 - 05-07-2007 Transmit to: All SF Personnel Comm ID: Commodore Hyperwave SF has recently been contacted by a former member of its past known by Trip.
