Liberty Navy [LN] - Jihadjoe - 05-13-2011 Snak3. You are being highly annoying, boring and tiresome. I've told you before now not to post in my feedback thread. I'm going to reiterate that. Furthermore, I will also restate the fact that I let you have a duel with the LSF agent. A duel I set up for you, so you and Sunderland could have a fun and interesting fight. I did that after you attempted to kill me while I was casually sitting watching you running away from a borderworlds transport with 400+ ping (nobody else was shooting you, lol). The fact you attempted to cheapshot someone who was stationary and watching your interaction with someone else angered me, but I swallowed that frustration and set up the duel between you and ashley regardless. Then when you won, I made sure your flaming wreck of a sabre was finished off. That I did because you had previously behaved like a jerk. Never post in my feedback thread again. You offer nothing to the [LN], which coincidentally is exactly the reason are no longer a part of it. Liberty Navy [LN] - Jihadjoe - 05-13-2011 So... To actually make this thread useful to the LN, I've decided to put together a form to help you put feedback in here which is constructive, rather than being an aimless rant, or mindless Q_Q. Hopefully this will help everyone. Code: Your character name (if applicable): This has also been placed in the first post of this thread. Liberty Navy [LN] - Estal - 05-17-2011 Your character name (if applicable): BHG|22nd-Pow Situation, policy or incident you are providing feedback on: While I was in Bering I saw a group indians and LN fight with each others. I asked one of LN pilot in private. Then I engaged an indian. Anyone can said: the LN warned you stay out of this situation. But it is not a reason to attack any LAWFUL ship mainly an ALLIED OFFICIAL faction ship. And not in a quasi independent system. BHG is originating from Texas. So BHG is house corporation in Liberty. So BHG and LN quasi allied. Please explain what was that if anyone can. LN does not have rights to kill any lawful ships except when the lawfull is transformed into unlawful. Screenshots or other related materials: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What you believe should be done about the situation: LN says: I am sorry, so sorry. At least. Other notes: try to read your own ID ![]() Liberty Navy [LN] - McNeo - 05-17-2011 I was the one who gave the order for you to be shot down. Here's why. Prior to the first screen there, you received two warnings to stay out of the fight. The first was just after you engaged and an inference. You said something akin to "Looks like you need help" and I responded that we were fine. For whatever reason, you began firing anyway. The second warning was after that and more akin to a threat. These warnings were issued because our side actually outnumbered their side at that point in the battle, and to bring anymore would be inconsistent with our policy of trying to keep numbers roughly even. You were warned, but unfortunately did not act on that warning. Therefore, after a prolonged amount of time with you firing, I took the decision to remove you from the fight by ordering Barney Ross to open fire on your ship. Standard practice in the past, for me at least, has been exactly the above. During a very long period of being in the Navy, I've shot Navy independants, LSF independants, members of the [LN] official faction and various freelancers and other pilots that refused to obey orders. Of course, it is your decision whether or not to obey, but then it is our decision whether or not to take other measures. Not once have I been punished for this behaviour and it is consistent with the temperament of my character. If, for all this time, my behaviour was against the rules, I will apologise. However, I do not believe that I violated my ID, as for all intents and purposes, you decided to act directly against the wishes of the Liberty Navy. This can be argued, I believe successfully, to be an unlawful action. In fact, your first screenshot you provided shows exactly why I took the decision to order Barney to remove you from the fight. You were told to leave, didn't, and got shot. I would like to point out that without being able to do this, there would be no way to manage the size of each side of any given battle except "asking nicely", which is easily countered by people not paying attention to their chat during a fight, which is sometimes unavoidable in hectic combat. Perhaps it's a little heavy handed, and that it is, but it is by no means unlawful. Liberty Navy [LN] - Jihadjoe - 05-17-2011 ' Wrote:Other notes: I believe the BHG ID has much the same. One could argue that while within Liberty, deliberately contradicting the ranking (and on home ground) officer would be an unlawful action. You don't fall within chain of command, sure, but you do fall within Navy/LPI/LSF juresdiction while in Liberty. That means when these people ask you do something, especially in a combat situation, it's a fine idea to actually do so. The client/contractor relationship means we dictate the terms. If we do not wish an external contractor, merc, BHG or otherwise, to enter a fight, we'd expect them to do as we wish. We certainly won't thank or pay them for the pleasure, and I'd imagine, be rather annoyed that someone we essentially employ on a freelance basis does something which directly contradicts our wishes. Generally speaking, I prefer to avoid shooting at hunters for such things, as well as navy independants. In future, we'll just tell every last Liberty serviceman to disengage the already outnumbered foe, and let you die on your own. In short, we could act in roleplay terms on this, and send a message to your guildmaster, informing him or her that you damaged the client contractor relationship and reduced the trust we have in the BHG's wishes to work on our terms, for our money. Although I am sorry you feel so angry about this. Maybe seeing the other position in this disagreement will help you. Who knows. I certainly don't EDIT: Thank you for using the template. Liberty Navy [LN] - Saronsen - 05-26-2011 Your character name (if applicable): Saronsen Situation, policy or incident you are providing feedback on: RP interactions in California Screenshots or other related materials: ![]() What you believe should be done about the situation: I guess that roleplaying is not a major deal for the Leader of the official Liberty Navy faction? I guess holding OORP grudges against players, as both an Admin and a faction leader is the proper way to do things? You're setting a fine example for other players. I do hope everyone takes a leaf from your book Hale. The server will only benefit from your doings. Other notes: Nothing. Liberty Navy [LN] - Jihadjoe - 05-26-2011 The methods by which you RP are designed to be annoying. To the player. I have no wish to interact with you. I expressed such. Fairly politely, given the tone with which you address people. Your 'roleplay' prior to that was a trollface heap of junk, making barely in-character comments implying complaint about ganks, and passing comment on the intelligence of indy (or not?) navy ships. I'm tired of you. Go away. Liberty Navy [LN] - Saronsen - 05-26-2011 My character has not changed over the last two and a half years. He taunts his enemies endlessly into forcing them to do something. I've defended myself far many more times than I've attacked, because of that. I was not trolling you ingame, and I had no intentions of doing so. You're simply holding a grudge against me for shooting one of your pilots. I never once said anything about independent Navy ships, that was the others complaining about you shooting down one of their drones. Quit combining multiple interactions with mine. And EVERY pirate complains IC about the Liberty Navy bringing down the horde. I don't see how me doing it is any different. Liberty Navy [LN] - Jihadjoe - 05-26-2011 Saronsen. This is the internet. Every character is a smartass. Everyone wants their character to be the smartass that makes an impact. I've taken to just informing them I'm tired of it, and /ignoring them. There are roughly 25 people on the ignore list for Hale. the majority are system yammering types, and the rest are those who's RP is just the same old same old. It's not just that it's disinteresting... It's that the content has little to do with the game's RP environment. It's aimed at players, not characters. Liberty Navy [LN] - Saronsen - 05-26-2011 Not really. Saronsen is my only the smartass character I have/have had. This still does not do anything to explain your refusal to roleplay, even though your position demands you do so. Of course I guess it's easier to /ignore everyone you don't like so you don't have to deal with it. |
