True, totally forgot about that one. However, it's just a small percentage of his roleplay, and when I had the idea of creating a Shodan-like AI for that ship, I rather wanted to call a spade a spade instead of hiding the obvious influence from the public. No need to pretend an idea or name being your very own creation by just giving it a different name. If I'd have called the AI "Karl Heinz" instead, the idea behind it would still be an import, no? And it's not like I've repeated or copied an existing story, but reawakened that character with its own new story, hopefully fitting into the Discovery universe.

But yes, in the end, it's an import. But I don't care if people will devalue my roleplay abilities because of the 5% import-ish roleplay. It's not even a known import. I only got told twice about it yet. And yours was the first negative comment on it.

And I'm convinced, that anyone else could have managed to SRP the Necrosis before me. I actually thought I'd do people a favor by digging Mon'Star's legacy out. I doubt that he'd care much. And eventhough he designed it, it's still part of the Discovery mod, and the current admin staff granted my request. So I don't see any harm in flying it.

Anyways, if you like to continue this discussion, please open a new thread about it. Though, without me, since I won't be able to view the forums within the next 5 weeks.

I think it's just not worth the effort. Someone codes a beautiful and balanced ship but only one very special snowflake is allowed to have it? No thanks. I believe time and ressources are better spent on the playerbase as a whole.

True. It's not that I'm devaluing it, it just seems like a rookie oversight to me, you know? And SHODAN was an awesome AI. The more arrogant precursor to GLaDOS. I like AI. And playing them amuses me.

And yeah, Mon'starr's legacy wasn't the best, but I think I'd rather let it fade then just overwrite it completely. Imagine he flew away or something.
