ok and?

its made of tissue paper and dies to less than 1/4th a bomber powercore thanks to scorchers if it has no armor

or do people still not know to not aim for the cargo pods??

its not big because it has no armor and no giant array of guns protecting it like other 5kers and 4.3kers

its just cargo pods and the main cabin+reactor+engine and a couple of guns with shoddy angles

Not saying you're wrong, just saying that isn't a valid reason to nerf such an iconic ship. It should be a 5k. No one is looking at ship hulls with a measuring tape and analysing suspected hold capacity while flying in the game. Besides who knows how much of a ship is cargo space and not armour thickness, crew quarters etc. The Stork has 8 full sized cargo boxes and a beefy cabin.

Mastodon has 1 turret
Rheinland 5ker has 3 turrets
Bret 5ker 1 or 3 turrets and are huge compared to Stork which has CARGO Pods. We used to do the test with one bomber vs Stork with @SnakThree. Survived for longer than other 5ker.

In my honest opinion most trains should have even more cargo space (and maybe be more vulnerable to balance that). I mean if I remember correctly in vanilla they hauled cargo in amounts of tens of thousands of units).

Another way to balance it would be to do something with those different types of cargo pods so you could only haul the specific goods if you had the correct cargo pod mounted ( ha, I wonder if anyone ever tried to write a plugin for that! ). That would automatically increase the amount of micromanagement and the time you spend switching cargo pods would offset the bigger cargo capacity resulting in similar credits/minute as the "battle" transports.

Or it could be done like the point 4 of this old suggestion (as in you buy the more expensive cargo pod and get more space - and maybe less armor as a result)

I, for one, never stopped flying my stork.. the nerf made it a bother when supplying bases, as the number of trips got higher. The large transports being easily kiled is fine.. I guess.. There should be a way to create more in game activity with this.. if it takes 2 snubs to take out a transport.. or something to encourage having an escort or 2.. ??? Way bak when we were told the nerf was only temporary.. maybe give x amount of space per cargo pod.. would be neat if the various cargo pods were named better.. then one could buy the one's one wanted... Perhaps have a commodity hooked to a particular pod.. not sure if the game would allow for that.. I till find it odd that external turrets use up cargo space..although it does make them more vulnerable when they have no guns.. again this may cause them to have escorts ..
