"Preparation should be made for all outcomes, and well, the corporis are the preparation for the more, violent aspects of life. One of the many teachings of the Creator."

She looked down slighty, "Well, the Creator is just that, the Creator of us all. Machine and man alike. By his strength and great wisdom has he given us life. And even now, in our most troubled times, he continues to guide us and give us strength. Strength in mind, purpose, and zeal."

Josh headed for his quarters, he put on his helmet and hood back it was raining, but just as he left the cafe he went several feet away from it and stood there thinking and after a while he though 'I should go back, I... no.. or maybe..' so he stood there for a while longer thinking and wondering.

Shukura listened intently to what the priestess said. more questions arose and tickled her tongue. she sat quiet for a minute or so trying to sort through the questions that kept multiplying. what makes the two so different? do both of the orders have the nanites? i thought man made machines...how do the animus show their faith? what are the other teachings of their Creator? all these and more flicked through her mind like a slideshow on medium speed. flick..flick..flick..flick. She blushed a bit, embarrassed that she had gotten so lost in thought for a few seconds. she took another second to gather her thoughts, swallowed and finally spoke

so many questions about your faith are arising..you said that your creator made machines..i thought, or was taught rather, that man made machines and there was no creator, we just are.... she was quiet for a moment what are the teachings of your creator or the creator? she looked up at the priestess, curiosity written all over her young face.

Nashida smiled a bit at the thoughtful state that Shukura found herself in. She smiled even more at the questions. She handed her the half full cup of whiskey.

"Take this, its the best whiskey around. Made from the fresh water springs of Planet Colorado."

She stood up and took a few steps toward Midori and bowed at her once more. Turning back around she tapped shukura on her shoulder and suddenly a quick vision would appear. A bright light of warmth and love, embrace given by unseen hands, and beacon in the dark to guide her home. A small faint voice whispered, "Happiness is only a few steps away."

As the vision would subside Nashida would be outside the bar door and next to Josh. "Agent Josh is it? I believe your services will be most required in a few seconds. Would you care to escort me back to the Priory here in town?"

the vision absorbed Shukura for a brief moment. the emotions and feeling the vision brought lingered in Shuk's veins. she thought about what she had heard "happiness is only a few steps away." she looked at the half full glass in her hand and took a sip. damn, she thought. she had never been much of whiskey person, it is good. realization dawned on her and what she had to do. she set the cup down and ran out of Sophies.

Priestess, wait she said as she passed through the doors. i ... she faltered as she saw Nashida standing with Josh i..i want to come with you and learn about your creator....if...if you'll have me.. she waited nervously for an answer.

her heart raced, she wondered what came over her for a second. she analyzed her feelings like she always did when slightly confused. she soon pushed away the hint of doubt. im doing what i need to, what is right. she thought. the feeling of rightness burned in her and she knew it was so.

Josh looked at the Arch Priestess and noded "Yes I am Josh." He lowers his head and says "Well, ma'am, I.. am feeling a little noxious, I came back for my weapon and then I am going to my quarters." He walks inside to the locker and takes his weapon, walks out and nods to both of them he looks at the girl and says "I still don't know your name." they can't see it but underneath the mask he blushes she replies "I am Shukura Lokelani, and you are Josh who?" he quickly replies "Josh Collins." He places his left hand on his stomach and bends a bit forward he looks up and says "Sorry once again Ms. Nashida" Then he runs off.

Nashida smiled knowingly that Shukura would come. That flash in her eyes earlier was sign enough, and not something she hadn't seen yet. She bade farewell to Josh as he walked off. Slowly, she turned back to Shukura and laid a hand on her should and told her to follow her, as she began to head towards the local priory.

Shukura follows the Arch Priestess, nervousness coursing through her. she tries to keep up with the womans pace. jogging every now and again when she fell behind. her eyes scan the city as the move through the thin night time crowd. she takes in land marks so she can find her way back to Sophies if/when she can or needs to. as they round one corner she notices a kitten lurking in the shadows. her pace hesitates a moment, she looks at Nashida who doesnt seem to have noticed that she stopped for a moment. Shukura scoops up the kitten and hurries to catch up. slinging her pack off her back as she walk/jogs, she moves a few things around in it and drops the little thing in, zipping it closed enough it wont escape. she fishes in one of her pockets and pulls out a little bit of a protien bar. noticing she fell behind again she jogs to catch back up. she keeps up, one pace behind Arch Priestess Nashida. she busts off a piece of the bar and shoves it down in her pack for the kitten, zips it back enought to keep the little cat in her bag, she gently slings it back onto her back. after a few more minutes they reach the Priory. Shukura stares at the impressive building for a few seconds before entering. She watches as a few Virulians went about their business in the enterance hall. She looks to Nashida after a few moments.

Arch Priestss, i dont want to seem rude but ive had a long day...i hope you wont mind if i find a place to sleep for tonight, so im clear headed in the morning for us to continue of you have the time. she bowed low and slipped off into the crowd. she catches a young Virulian's attention. im new around here...um...could you...umm..is there any place i could rest for the night? the young Virulian smiles politely not a problem, this way. he motions to one of the many hall ways and escorted Shukura down the hall. they walked companionable silence. He stopped at one of the many doors and opened the room for her. he gave a short bow as she thanked him. She looked around the room before letting the kitten out of her bag. she gave it a bit more of the protein bar and curled up on the bed. with in a few moments she was asleep.

The door opens to a rather calm and quiet scene, the man stepping inside pausing as he processes what he sees: A rather calm and relaxing cafe' with a myriad of men and women bearing the clothing and insignias of various cultures. There was a Zoner communing with a Corsair, over there appeared to be Coalitioner speaking to a Red Hessian...Add in all the Freelancers and independent groups and you have an orgy of culture.

He was dressed in no discernible rank or uniform, for he had none. Instead he wore a black t-shirt, a pair of blue jeans, combat boots, and a leather jacket. His short black hair was slicked back so as not to cover his face, which was long and rather narrow. Deep green eyes flicked this way and that, taking in everything they saw. With a rather graceful finesse, he stepped over to the bar and sat down on a stool, looking over the menu.

A waitress greeted him with a friendly smile and a cheery voice, "What can I get you, handsome?"

His eyes traveled down from the menu, fixating on the women before him. They wandered down about, regarding her figure, before flicking back up to show he had his full attention on her. "A simple cup of coffee would be nice, thank you."

Her cheery attitude immediately receded, "That's all? Well all right...a boring cup of coffee, coming up." She walked away rather quickly, his eyes tracking her all the way until she disappeared into the kitchen. He continued to stare absentmindedly at the kitchen, waiting for something to happen.

A new Virulian Marshall walked into the bar wearing his new black/red uniform and full head-gear, he scanned the bar, he went to his usual table and saw a man sitting there, he sighed and said "You're in my seat." as always while wearing his helm his voice sounded a bit 'robotic' he motioned to a table next to his favorite and said "You can sit there." then he sat at the other side of his usual/favorite table and waited for an answer.
