A few years ago, TVLand (an American cable channel that shows old television programs) started showing "retromercials" (old TV commercials from the 1950s-1980s). One of the first I saw was an old Samsonite (luggage) commercial from the 1960s that showed a gorilla working as an abusive baggage handler behind the scenes at an airport. When I saw that retromercial, I was visiting a redneck friend who I knew had worked as a baggage handler years earlier at Washington-Dulles International Airport. When I asked where TVLand got video footage of Joe on the job at the airport, Joe's wife laughed her head off while Joe became very quiet and his face turned beet red (he's Irish and he has the stereotypical Irish temper).:crazy:
