DSE) Communications channel - Lord Balian - 10-14-2011 ---Incoming Transmission--- Comm ID: DSE)Tech-22 Location: Baltimore Shipyard, New York Greetings sir President, I have completed maintainance on the trade lane between Baltimore Shipyard and Planet Pittsburgh. Not only was I eager to give our captains an advantage while travelling between our bases shipping supplies, I also noticed this was one of the worst cases in NY. The latter due to the effect the floating scrap metal has on the lane rings. All went well, though I was able to capture a fair 21 rogue pilots who thought they'd have it in them to disrupt my routine. Please find attached the snapshots containing points of interest to those whom it may concern. Attachment Start of the run at the side of Planet Pittsburgh Of the many rogue encounters, this was the largest. At least 4 rogue fighters engaged me, and there were no police or bounty hunter vessels in the near vincinity to help fend them off. I relied on cover from the trade lane guns to fasten clearing out the scum After this skirmish, work went on as usual. Nearing completion of the maintainance routine, there was rumour of an Outcast near Fort Bush. I am not sure if I met him while taking these last snapshots, but I do remember seeing him come out the Connecticut Jumphole, and activating the Fort Bush-->Norfolk Shipyard Lane Report of major damage: - Overal damage due to scrap metal bouncing off the lane rings - Several turrets damaged due to over-use - Overal damage due to Barges making use of the trade lane, thereby overriding the lane's capabilities End of Attachment Payment may be sent to DSE)Constellation Yours in confidence, Kenzo Adriaen Joosten Mathijs Dijksterhuis Head of Engineering Department Deep Space Engineering ---Transmission Ends--- DSE) Communications channel - Lord Balian - 10-20-2011 ---Incoming Transmission--- Comm ID: DSE)Tech-22 Location: Baltimore Shipyard, New York Greetings. I have two matters to report. First of all, it seems the DSE Maintainance Department has found a new recruit today. I flew to Penny with DSE CoD Saber Nyoki to see if there were any able pilots looking for work. We found a feller known as ''Cotten Eye'' Joe. He was eager to help me maintain the Trade Lanes in the New York System, so we set out immediatly. I will try to initiate him slowly into the company, connecting him to the S.K.Y.P.E. Network and making him familiar with the forums, if he is not already. I asked him to purchase a Rhino (He could swap his CSV in for a monetary surplus) and after that I helped him get on good terms with DSE. After sufficient missions from Baltimore, he purchased the proper identification. Then I took him on a maintainance routine of the West Point Academy - Pennsylvania Jumpgate Trade Lane link. He carried the Lane Parts which I had asked him to pick-up from Trenton in case we would need them. So with this news, please find attached today's report of the Maintainance on the West Point - Penny Gate Trade Lane link. Attachment We started at the West Point side As mentioned before, Joe carried the Lane Parts needed for some of the major damage repairs Multiple Rogue raids tried to prevent us from working on the lane link After that large raid was repelled, we continued work Nearing the end, we had fought off alot of rogues and spent alot of ammo. Therefore I asked Joe to pick up the stalker missiles and give them to me so I could load them into my missile launchers After some time, we were all done. But Joe suddenly had to leave. I promised him to provide payment for his help, and that I will contact him again. End of Attachment Yours in confidence, Kenzo Adriaen Joosten Mathijs Dijksterhuis Head of Engineering Department Deep Space Engineering ---Transmission Ends--- DSE) Communications channel - Drake_Forsyth - 11-30-2011 ---Incoming Transmission--- Comm ID: Drake_Forsythe Location: Reims Station, Champagne Howdy Folks, Quite a few little things to report. I took the Lucky Star, my family company's Mastadon, on a delivery run to help CoD Nyoki finish his +LE+ transport deal. I thought it'd be a quick burn up to the Tau's and beyond, very much like my usual trades in Gallia. *laughs wearily* I hadn't even gotten out of New York before being pirated by a small flotilla of freelancers, rogues and other shady characters, at the California gate. Culprits: Tommy.Gunn (LR), Dubstep (FL), I.Crashed (unknown) It began easily enough, with a cruise disruptor fired across my bow. However, the little gang of scofflaws apparently decided to forgo the usual grandstanding and proceed directly to lighting my ship on fire. Any attempts at communication on my part were forgotten while I raced to save my ship and crew. We exhausted our shield batteries in under 20 seconds, and only the capital armor we'd had fitted last week saved us enough time to issue a general surrender. The rogue that seemed in charge (Tommy.Gunn) demanded 6 million credits, and, considering the lanes and gate were locked out, I paid promptly. I would've haggled them down, but I had my crew to protect, and in the grand scheme of things, six million isn't all that much. I would, however, suggest placing a bounty on them, to make their lives as difficult as they tried to make ours. Record Cache 001 - Culprits Record Cache 002 - Timestamp Jumping in-system to Leeds, I ran into and made acquaintances with a feller from Bowex. He seemed like a good bloke, and was willing to show me some jump holes he'd mapped to make deliveries quicker. With the board's consent, I'll keep the association going and see what I can learn. You never know, we may get wind of some lucrative trade routes... Record Cache 003 - Astartes, Borderworld Exports Making our way out of Leeds, our scanners reported activity was low in Tau-31. I set a course for the Kusari blockade, figuring we could risk it if we were careful. A lane jump to Stokes Smelter showed just how risky this part of Bretonia can be. A squad of Hogosha combat vessels were waiting for us near the station. Noting they had an Audohori Explorer *cough* gunboat more like it *cough* with them, I ordered our engines cut, and braking thrusters to bring us to a halt. Surprisingly, the squints were only interested in our load of Synth Paste. We'd loaded the stuff to fill out our hold, since Nyoki had only asked us to take 460 Hull Panels on this trip. The Hogosha bigwig in the Audohori, I could tell, wanted assurances our Paste wouldn't end up on Kusari tables. Not wanting to complicate matters, or spin a tangled web of lies, I told him straight; our Panels and Paste were bound for Gallia. He was surprised, to say the least. One of his associates suggested taxing us for passing their 'area of business', but, thinking quickly, I had a better idea. Taking control of the situation, I offered them an escort 'contract', sweetening the deal to the tune of 1.5 million credits, each. These sums would be payable on our safe arrival at the Tau 23 gate in the next system. If they all had a stake in our continued survival, they'd be less inclined to shoot us down. Luckily, the Hogosha agreed, and I had secured safe passage through a known warzone for our goods. Records of our trip follow. Fortunately a Maquis gunboat was on hand to escort us from our hiding place to Dauphine. From there, it was a quiet flight to Champagne. Record Cache 010 - GRN spotted, eluded Record Cache 011 - Maquis Escort Record Cache 012 - Successful delivery to Council harbormaster, Chalons-en-Champagne Station As y'all can see, quite an eventful day. Saber, consider the +LE+ delivery concluded. We'll need to organise another contract soon. Madame Vice President, please add the aforementioned rascals to our bounty board, I'll foot the bill if need be. Kenzo, I'll be taking a commercial transport back to Freeport 10 for the Solar Panel job. Please make sure the engineers have finished repairs on DSE)Tech-5? Cheers, Drake out. Partly due to the tensions between our company's board of directors and the Libertonian government, and because I thought the workforce on Pittsburgh could use some relaxation. Therefore I have ventured out towards Reunion Station, Orkney, to buy a fresh Gallic load of Tobacco for our trusty Boron miners. I will pass from Orkney to Tau-37 to start on the Freeport 10 project. I shall send Matthew, my trusted navigator, back home to Pittsburgh with the Camara containing the cigars. I am currently stationed on Betlehem Station with my Basalt Light Miner. I am in need of the proper ID to start working, so I'll move my ship onto Baltimore, then onto California Minor, where I'll -maybe- buy a Mammoth Transport. I know you are surprised, but the Basalt is a temporary ship. Once I get the right ID and a good trading ship, i'll start earning credits. I'm already working on it! I am also in need of a future permission for entering Gallic space, in order to expand my trading range... I'll look forward to meet some of you, gentlemen. Yours Truly, John McDuff, DSE)Faithful DSE) Communications channel - Widow - 12-21-2011 [font=Times New Roman]John McDuff. I have heard you are offering to ship cardimine. I am not sure if you know how things work around here, and you would have more in site if you chose to add me on the more secure S.K.Y.P.3 network I was talking about. You have one week from today to explain what happened, or I will be forced to remove you from the company. I hope our informant is wrong. Mrs. Jess Doe Vice President Deep Space Engineering

He's an indipendent researcher, and he needed a 'package' from the Taus. I went and picked it up, but I had engine issues and got to stop in Kyushu. It's strange, I know, but until this freelancer doesn't show up, I won't be able to get rid of the liquid cardamine I am hauling for him. Sorry for the Incomprensions John McDuff DSE) Communications channel - Widow - 12-26-2011 [font=Times New Roman]John McDuff. ::::: Transmission Closed ::::: DSE) Communications channel - Widow - 12-29-2011 [font=Times New Roman]At long last, Dauntless is back up and running, with no technical issues. This evening was only a short trial run, delivering Military Vehicles, Prisoners, and Basic Alloy to the approperate destinations. Being in the good mood I am, I decided to gift three new pilots a small amount of credits to get them started in space, hopefully they put that to good use. Easy sailing to Ft. Severn. I am considering trading the Mastodon in for something with more fire power, there seems to be a fair few pirates around these days. I will think some more about it, there is no rush to make a decision. Time for a hot drink, and a phone call to John to see how his cruise is going for him.
