I was just checking around with my transport now and a few problems:

1. Yukawa shipyard is in Honshu, Yokogawa shipyard is in New Tokyo

2. Neither of those sells ship hull panels, nearest selling location near kusari are: Yanagi in S13. (but my Kishiro transport can't dock ther), Freeport 6 in Tau 29.

Either you should warn everyone to get the cargo in advance or you need to change cargo composition.

This event is over. <strike>First shipping event - Today, May 18th 2008 - 6 PM GMT (1 PM EST)</strike>
(We're going by THIS time standard. Check the time in bold there.)

Roles:
1. Transports: The transports convoy leaves Yokohama Shipyard* (New Tokyo) en route to the Alster Shipyard (Hamburg) carrying Hull Panels (70%) and Optronics (30%). The convoy will take the following route: New Tokyo / Honshu / Sigma-13 / Frankfurt / New Berlin / Hamburg.
* I've made a mistake. The two goods aren't sold in the Shipyard in Kusari. Ship Hull Panels may be acquired at Freeport 6 (Tau-29) or Yanagi (Sigma-13); Optronics may be acquired at Planet Honshu (Honshu). For the sake of the story, the transports may buy these items in any of these or other places selling these items and then rendezvous at the Yokohama Shipyard.

2. Escorts (RM-RFP/KNF-KSP): Kusarian escorts take the convoy as far as the border of Frankfurt, where it is transfered to the Rheinland authorities.

3. Pirates/Terrorists: Local pirates/terrorists from each House try to disrupt and prevent the convoy from reaching Alster.

Rules of engagement:
1. The "cruise" rule does not apply for this event;

2. Ships may not dock during the event. Any ship that docks is considered and/or disabled and may no longer fulfill its purpose in the event;

3. Transports cannot be directly engaged until 50% of the escort force is destroyed. Transports may break away from the escorts (engage cruise) if that number is reached. The intercepted convoy may keep moving at impulse speed in order to produce a "timer" for the event**;
** Transports in Kusari may break away and flee if the fight there takes too long so the players in Rheinland won't have to wait too much.

4. A maximum of 20% of the transports may be destroyed on the Kusari side of the event. The remaining transports must be allowed to escape so there can be an event on the Rheinland side;

VERY IMPORTANT: If there are any problems during the event concerning people "breaking rules" of any sort, please, contact me directly through PMs and I will sort it out myself. Remember this is supposed to be an RP event. Can't have it being disrupted by ooRP discussion. So please, don't.

Alright, people. I'd like to sincerely thank everyone who has participated a great deal. I didn't have the chance to directly thank each and everyone of you in game (there were so many), so I'll do it here.

As it's usual to such events, it didn't go quite as planned. Apparently the Kusari part of it didn't really happen, so KNF ended up aiding RM in the battle against the Hessians (bulk of the hostile force) in Frankfurt. Turns out I think it ended up somewhat even? RM had 6 ships, KNF 3, one independent that ended up getting involved. RHA had 6 as well, plus one HT, Nyx and Reaver and Wesley? Sorry if somehow it ended up one sided, but I think it wasn't the case.

The tendency is that everything ends up getting a little out of hand, but I was prepared for it and didn't bother much trying to micro manage everything. Thanks to everyone that helped me somehow make decisions at the time. Thanks to Martin to splitting the responsibility with me, to Robert who nursed the transports while the rest of us killed each other. Thanks to the Kishiro group, because without you there wouldn't even be a convoy to justify all this. Thanks to the KNF guys for getting involved and helping us in the fight. Maybe in the end it was even more fun like that. Thanks to the RHA for showing up in force, that was amazing. Thanks to the lone HT, Nyx, Messerschmidtz, Wesley and the RM independent that ended up showing up.

Hope everyone has had as much fun as I did. This Cruiser will undoubtedly have a special meaning for this. Anyway, post here your comments and suggestions for the next events. I plan to promote at least another two or three, if everyone is interested.

As Trading Master and convoy member, I was very pleased with your performance today. Although we did not come under imminent threat due to the excellent flying of our KNF and RM escorts, you showed a very professional attitude, and superb flying skills.

Now, if our Big Dragons would just stop trying to mate with each other while flying in formation, we could call it a perfect trip. You have advanced the reputation of Kishiro Technologies and its pilots greatly this day.
