RE: The Blood Money - Freeport One Edition - - Haste - 04-24-2013 Cerulean slowly walked towards the Blood Money, weighing a standard-issue LPI taser in his right hand. As he walked through the entrance, he nodded at one of the guards. The man looked at the taser, and then at Cerulean himself with a questioning look on his face. In response, Cerulean gave him a quick wink, and continued walking into the bar. Once inside, he stopped and looked around. It didn't take long for him to notice Silver in one of the booths. He approached the booth, taking care not to make enough sound for her to hear him over the bar's many other noises. After he'd reached the booth, he snuck up on Silver. Quietly, but quickly, he readied his taser and put it against her waist. RE: The Blood Money - Freeport One Edition - - Silver - 04-24-2013 "Life is a beautiful lie. Death is the painful truth."
Nursing her drink, she felt something irregular prickling her back. "I truly hope that's yer one eyed snake bein' all happy and shiz for seing me." She looked back and noticed the young man, with a smirk that could almost seem one of a kid.. and one of a gangster having fun. Her eyes followed his arm to the tazer that was now pressing against her waist. "What now, kid?" She grinned back with the most wolfish of smiles. Games, games, games. How much she missed them. RE: The Blood Money - Freeport One Edition - - Haste - 04-24-2013 "Can't say I ain't tempted to do it." He softly tapped the taser against her waist. "After all, I still owe you one." He pulled back the taser a little, and fired it. As there was no cartridge in it, only a small - but violent - arc of electricity sparked between the electrodes. The smirk on his face turned into a wide smile. "Then again, I'm not as evil as you." He pulled back the taser and put it on the table. He then walked to the other side of the booth and sat down, facing Silver. RE: The Blood Money - Freeport One Edition - - Silver - 04-24-2013 "Die young. Stay pretty." She let a little laugh out, and pushed one of her two glasses with Jack Daniels in it all over the table. It skidded to a halt in front of Cerulean. "Here i was hoping that it was really someone happy to see me." Silver gulped the last bit of whiskey in her glass and poured some more. "And death ain't evil. Just.. a painful truth.. Now, what do you want kid? People don't walk to me.. without wanting ...something." Her voice sounded like velvet in that last sentence. Death never looked so good. RE: The Blood Money - Freeport One Edition - - Haste - 04-24-2013 "What it is I want? Well.. that," he nodded towards the glass in front of him, "ain't a bad start." Cerulean put the glass to his mouth, and downed half the whiskey in it before putting it back on the table. "Seems drinking's the first thing you learn here." He leaned back, and took his PDA. "Anyhow, to get to the point.." After browsing through a few files, he slid the PDA across the table towards Silver. "You see that name down there?" Leaning over the table, he put his index finger beside one of the names - Simon Templar - at the very end of the list. "That's the 'something' I want." RE: The Blood Money - Freeport One Edition - - Silver - 04-24-2013 "I have become death, the destroyer of worlds." Silver looked and raised an eyebrow. With a small chuckle, she sat reclined in the seat again. "Templar. Eh. Shot him down a couple of times. Last one was in the Sigmas if i recall." Her eyes looked at Cerulean. And that wolfish grin of hers showed up again. "And why.. you want one of the little ol' Mando Consul? I didn't run the Mando's out of business just for shiz and giggles. What's yer angle on this one?" She sipped the whiskey, and pulled the gun from under the table, where it was hidden and holstered it. "Tazers are for kids.. Kid." RE: The Blood Money - Freeport One Edition - - Haste - 04-24-2013 Cerulean picked up his tazer, and moved it around on the palm of his hand before putting it back on his belt. "'course. It's a toy. Ain't gonna deny that. Then again, I don't exactly want you dead, either." He shrugged, and said: "To be honest, I'm not sure what I need this Templar for." He paused, and took another sip of his whiskey, leaving his glass about a quarter full. Without putting the glass down, he continued: "What I do know, is that with 'her' gone, it won't be long until the Company falls apart." He drank the last bit of whiskey left, and put the glass back down. A gentle push later, the glass was next to the bottle. He frowned, and shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe this man can prevent that from happening." RE: The Blood Money - Freeport One Edition - - Silver - 04-24-2013 "Death is like an old dog. She always knows when you're at her door." "You need the flair. You need the charisma gained through hell and scars that only we mercs know about it." She filled the glass and pushed it back to Cerulean. "And you need the connections. An old vet like Templar, like me, knows people that you don't. Knows secrets that you can't imagine." Silver sighed, and pulled out her PDA. She set it up and recorded a message. "Dagon. I need the loc and last year history on Simon Templar, former Mando Consul. Send it to Cerulean as well." The message was sent. And while she was filling her glass again, her PDA beeped with a message. "As you wish, Lady Silver. It will be sent in the next hour." Silver imitated a Bretonian accent filled with jest. "Titanium. Here's a pro-tip, kid. That woman scares me. She is the professional. If you need anything, call her. Just don't mess with her family. Bad for anyone's health." She gulped the precious liquid in the glass, once again. RE: The Blood Money - Freeport One Edition - - Haste - 04-24-2013 "Kaze?" Surprise - or maybe even shock - could be heard in Cerulean's voice, and seen on his face. "Kaze Dagon. The Merc Wars in Liberty. Titanium Reaver." He spoke quietly, barely louder than a whisper. He reached for his glass. "I'll need a drink to let that sink in." After gulping it all in one go, he put his glass back on the table, leaned back, and cleared his throat. "Learn somethin' new every day," he said, surprisingly calmly. Again, he pushed his glass towards the bottle of Jack Daniels. "I could use another." RE: The Blood Money - Freeport One Edition - - Silver - 04-24-2013 "You can't win the game of Life. Death has better cards." "Eh, figured you would know her. Libertonian, ex-cop and all." She filled the glass and pushed it back to Cerulean. "The Company has many colors. And all of them with a very colorful past." Silver filled her own glass and sipped. "Ah.. The burn.. So kid. Apart from needin' a vet at your side to run the rainbow wagon.. What's the plan?" Suddenly she laughed. "Just remembered. Copper said the same frickin' thing to me, over a bottle of Jack, when Crimson threw the Company on my lap. Him and Violet. Runnin' away for a well earned retirement in Hawai. Copper is fishin' in Grand Canaria. I wonder what i'll be up to. Probably dead. Or in Hell. Again." |
