RE: New cloak idea - SkyNet - 07-24-2013 How about that? - Removal of the fuel consumption of light cloaks. (It should eat slowly the ship energie.) - A Cloaking device uses a special hard point (Not CM, like the curret does) - Trains or other transports can use a light cloak if they have a special HP - Reducing the fuel consumption of cap cloaks. - Cloaks for Caps using the energie of the reactor after the fuel is burned. (You can also cloak without fuel, but only a short time) - Set the hold size of a cloak on a low level. (Maybe a reduction of 50% would be enough) - Cloaks can only be disrupted by a special CD. - To avoid that all players will use cloaks, they should be limited. (Maybe only the guard factions and house military's may use them. For example, If you want to use a cloak, "as lawfull" in Rheinland, you need to register it at the RFP and pay a lot of cash. Jea... But it will not be implemented. The devs have their own head. How many people have written "cloak threads" already? And how often were these ideas already been implemented? Or did one of the devs said in the past: "Thats a good idea, we will think about to add it" ? I had many ideas to improve the gameplay of disco. Its function would be to shorten the effective range (if not eliminate altogether) of Scanners to detect other vessels. Obviously, this could be handled different ways: have different levels of JAmmers that effect certain scanners differently (ex: Basic Jammer shortens detection range of Basic and Cargo Scanners to about 200m, Advanced Cargo and Enhanced Scanners to 500m, Discovery Scanners to 1000m, BS/Spyglass Scanners to 2500m).
