here are the new wings - an art nouveau style pattern with a modelled snake. - the wings are much shorter than the kusari wings. - i hope that only 1 or 2 of those will ever fly on one screen - cause this concept is quite heavy on the polycount.

Hmm, that's not quite what I thought of. Say, can you send me the model with the original ornamental wings (Preferably ms3d format, so I can texture it right away, too)? I'll show then how I imagined the wings.

how about no wings at all - of course the enemies of the gaians will CURSE you to the ground then, cause the ship will have a profile as big as a patriot from the front then.
i ll be experimenting with the wing some more - ( the last version does not work anyway - 39k polygons in metaseq = 80.000 polgons in milkshape / freelancer .... and thats a tad too much )
i think i ll make them root-like - but other ships have priority atm. - this ship is submitted with the kusarian style wings for now - and i ll submit one with better wings once i have time. - if i haven t ... its up to igiss, he has both versions.

i sent a few versions of it ( different wings ) some time ago. - its submitted, but i don t know about the chances of this ship to be added - come to that, i don t know of any chances of any of the ships that were submitted, nither new ships, nor replacements.
if its rejected, its no big thing - the gaians can simply use the IMG, kusari or maybe the corsair gunboat anyway.
i might consider an updated texture though, cause i got higher resolution textures now for the bretonian skins. - but that means extra work - and its my summer break ( yea, i know 3 months vacation sounds like a lot for the working people - but for a student, it basicly flies by:laugh:)

Ah, thanks a lot, I'm looking forward to see it in the mod.
As for the other three gunboats, we don't want to rely on the Corsairs too much, the Kusari GB works fine with a good RP reason (The only Kusari GB in NLH was nicely RPed by Ophiuchi and Jinx) and the IMG GB needs more warming up to the CR.

i have spontanously decided to revise the gaian gunboat again.... - when i made it, i had no access to the proper bretonian textures - and i might habe been a bit stuck with the kusari derived GB idea....
so here is the new version - same size ... basicly the same shape. - but it looks more like a bretonian ship.

decided to change it mostly cause the old gunboat simply did not fulfil the higher standards of the models anymore..
