Signatures/Pictures/Avatars - Makc_RU - 03-28-2012 Prysin, rusty on the cracks, but not as generic as yours. I say this with no hate at all, it is just every where I look I see the same style, all the tuts and forums...same c4d, smooth, blur, etc. We discussed it with you already, you are not using the "popular" methods, but the result is the same. Perhaps if you post something different, then we talk. Signatures/Pictures/Avatars - Tommeh - 03-28-2012 ' Wrote:Truly great, I wonder how did you make this lighting on the ship? Custom render? Yep, render made in 3ds max, with custom lighting and all to fit the background:) About sig, it's actually looking good considering you just started:) I know my first work was far worse:D Signatures/Pictures/Avatars - Captain - 03-28-2012 ' Wrote: this looks very very gay, just a q, is this for the game/website Grepolis.com? Signatures/Pictures/Avatars - Prysin - 03-29-2012 grepolis.tv i believe, its a "text" based flash game similar to travian/tribalwars Signatures/Pictures/Avatars - jxie93 - 03-29-2012 I would have guessed a historical cosplay gay dating site lol Signatures/Pictures/Avatars - Tommeh - 03-29-2012 Why gay, there is only one male, and 2 girls :D Signatures/Pictures/Avatars - Prysin - 03-29-2012 my latest work Signatures/Pictures/Avatars - prisoner98002 - 03-30-2012 ' Wrote:Why gay, there is only one male, and 2 girls :D Because he dont know what to do with the girls. Signatures/Pictures/Avatars - Makc_RU - 03-30-2012 To all: That round image is the second version I made. The first one is different. I was aiming for a cute female and a nice butt and she is being supported/watched over a spartan warrior. This version was aimed at males. That was as simple pin art style, nothing major. A dude said that she looks a tad unrealistic and that I should've put that spartan upfront. So I did, took out the female's butt and added some cracks, just to see how they would turn out. To be honest with you, I think the second version did came out a tad ghey, or targets more female population. Hehe, it was kind of funny for me searching for "sexy male body, sexy male spartan, etc..." To all the kids who called me gay: It's funny how you bark at someone you don't know. Monitor Warriors!:) About Tommeh's sig: I think he got a good taste and he knows his way around photoshop, but I've always had a problem with his renders. Tommeh's renders look unrealistic to my eye and look like they were just placed on top of the image. I like everything else about his sigs, just not the way he process his renders. When I talk about being unrealistic, I speak about how the render in general. If you notice tha he did nail the lightning of the 90%, I whould've added little light on the opposite side of the ship, just barely visible, coming from the planet behind. But that is just being anal, except the model i find his sig to be good. Prysin sigs: I can't say much. He got skills and great tallant, but works in a generic way. I could compare his art to an elevator music. Also, his typography suffers all the time, something he needs to work on. Phill Bitters: Generic answer to a clown: I piss on your face and smile upon you, child. Last Piligrim: Привет Беларуссии. The overall composition seems to be ok. You have all the elements you need, light source, planets(anchors), some distant space nebulae, giving the feeling of depth and the ships. So, instead of saying how good you are, I will tell you what you can change in order for this composition to look better. 1. Learn how to produce custom renders. It is not hard, all the info you can find on this forum. I think it is a .rar file. You will also need a 3d rendering program. Any 3d rendering software will do, if you know how to use it for the purpose you need. 2. The bevel of the image has to be different. Perhaps use white/black colors for the bevel, add 1px stroke(50% opacity) around the image and 3-5px blur (65-85% opacity) 3. The cut out shape on the left could use a background. For example a screen looking insert or a panel, giving the whole sig the feeling of complexity. 4. The white/yellow glow around the hands-with-globe image has to go. Instead you could add 3-5px blutt and a drop shadow, to give it some volume. Or you could inner bevel it/pillow bevel it into the panel from paragraph 3. 5. You could add inside glow, to give the image more volume and ,perhaps, a feeling of a border. I know you wanted the image to have outer bevel, but try it and see what result you get. 6. The light source ( the star) could be a bit more funkier, you could duplicate the layer and do 30% smudge with a wet media brush. This part takes time and you should play around to see what you like. 7. The whole image: ships, planets, BG need to have major levels adjustment. Right now the whole image looks kind of flat, you need to make dark darker, white whiter, this way the whole image will gain the feel of inside depth and distance. You could add some blurs and duplicate layers, change their blending modes, erasing some parts. If you want to go funky, you could add some C4Ds on top, just be careful how you use it. The text is well placed and clearly visible. I do not find any problems with it. You could always experiment with different fonts and gradients. It all depends on the overall effect you want your image to make. A good example of what not to do: is look at Prysin's bottom signature. Do you see how text is blending in and is hard to read? That is a big no is a design industry. Well, i typed a whole buncha crap for all of you. Wish you all the best. Piligrim, if you have questions, feel free to ask me. I speak russian. Signatures/Pictures/Avatars - Prysin - 03-30-2012 @makc please refer to this if you think all i use is C4D's http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=109723 also, your text is still bad, composition and depht is bad |
