Can't speak for the rest, though I'll be brief about my departure.

There was a reason I left the first time, I made it my job this time around to correct that. Didn't get everything done, though I definitely did enough to where I was satisfied. Created some stuff that I believe will remain valuable to the rest of the team. Oh, and I touched up these too. Will have to give credit to @Alex. for helping me with a chunk of it.

I mean to break no server rules by making this post- if it violates a rule then I'm sorry in advance, remove it and address it in whatever way it needs.

The question I have however, is very genuine.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcTYZ1jvVOo

Could we have a genuine set of reasons as to why this is "unacceptable & therefore sanctionable"?

The level of hate INRP for Miner's will differ from OC to OC and their individual char's experience. The Taus are an INRP heavy battleground where many enemy forces have potential to meet.

Any resource/commodity passing through here would INRP be considered "high value" - or at least in great need due to the INRP risk of the open warzone between CR, OC, IMG, BAF/GRN/KNF/ lawfuls and unlawfuls/etc.

An OC with very bitter experiences of being forced to "drop all" without exception would quite likely demand all of an enemy's cargo be dropped, take it or wreck it.

~The ONLY reason I can potentially see as to why this is a sanction is the clarification of the demand itself; It started as a "I want the valuable cargo" - (You can only carry a small amount of the transport ships cargo as a Capital ship)- Ergo, the demand "Changing" from "I want it for value" to "Wreck it all".

My personal char has zero desire for piracy- but this isn't about specific chars.

Clarification requested please?

Could I ask for an update on my PR? It's been almost a week and it's a simple sci data req.

This is the sanction notice for the incident in question and reflects our policy. Unless there's extenuating circumstances, such as specific ID lines, we want to limit the victim's losses to either a portion of profit in the case of credits, or only as much as the pirate can carry in the case of cargo. The reason for this is that we've decided that the amount of toxicity generated after being on the recieving end of spite is really not worth the 'fun' generated by the person dishing it out. Piracy can be done healthily if trader PLAYERS don't feel like it's better to just log off rather than haul, and that can come at the cost of some RP backstories and some fun derived from bullying traders.

Our response times are suffering from being down to three admins, and having a large backlog - we're going down the list and will try to get to everything as soon as we can

Does this in turn mean that a IMG/other faction cannot demand the full drop of Cardamine/any other "contraband" in the name of the same said "fun"?

The Independent Miners Guild (IMG) is a loose confederation of miners who work in the undeveloped border worlds, staking claims and harvesting deposits far from the reach of the larger corporations. They often compete with House Corporations over their mineral claims in the border worlds.

This Independent Corporate ID is used by Independent Miners Guild members, who:

- Can attack any ship in defense of allied ships.

- Can engage in piracy against competitors outside of House Space.

- Cannot dock Cruisers, Battlecruisers, or Battleships in House Space, except on IMG bases.

- Cannot use ships with more than 4,300 cargo space.

Within Zone of Influence (Bretonia and bordering systems, Taus, Omegas):

- Can attack competitors outside of Bretonia.

- Can engage in piracy against Corporate ships outside of Bretonia.

Mining Bonuses: Copper (3x), Diamonds (3x), Gold (3x), Niobium (3x), Silver (3x)

They cannot. However,

High demand for the drug, combined with the Outcasts' obvious desire to destroy it, have left Cryer facilities and personnel under constant threat.

This Liberty Corporate ID is used by Cryer Pharmaceuticals employees, who:

- Can attack Gaians, Golden Chrysanthemums, Lane Hackers, Liberty Rogues, and Outcasts.

- Can demand Cardamine.

- Cannot use Cruisers, Battlecruisers, or Battleships.

Within Zone of Influence (Liberty and bordering systems, Sigmas and bordering Omicrons, Cambridge):

- Can attack ships considered hostile by Liberty.

- Can engage in piracy against Corporate ships outside of House Space.

and

Code:
Considered by many to be the largest criminal organization in Sirius, the Corsairs are a quasi-nation of raiders and pirates, targeting civilian and military targets with reckless abandon as they plunder the border worlds. They frequently clash with the Outcasts for territory in the Edge Worlds, while continuing a bloody battle with the Hessians and allies for the resource-rich Omegas.

This Independent Unlawful ID is used by Corsairs, who:

- Can attack any ship carrying Hessian Tears or Cardamine.

- Can attack any hostile ship in Omicron Gamma

Within Zone of Influence (Bretonia, Kusari, Omegas, Omicrons, Rheinland, Sigmas, Dublin):

- Can attack combat ships.

- Can engage in piracy.

Mining Bonuses: Gold (3x), Xeno Relics (3x)

They can demand all cardamine and kill you if you refuse

I stand corrected 8|
Looks like something that needs to be addressed, no lawfuls come close to that - and IMG are more unlawful than lawful in terms of their play )))
