SF Message Dump - Firebird - 09-28-2006 Transmit to: Admiral Firebird Comm ID: All Personell Apologies to the admins for double posting but it ensures members get flagged about new items. Character Assignments Looking for a Squadron of a couple (2-3) fighters to remain stationed in the bretonia area for defense. Their home ship would be the Magnificent. And I would like to transfer the name of the 1st Royal Squadron to this group, makes sense since they operate in Bretonia only. Any objections? Next, would like to rename the current 1st and 2nd royal squadrons to something more interesting since they are meant to be elite squadrons in comparison to regular NPCs. I could just name them myself, but really it should be a choice of its members, I'll leave the end-decision for a squadron's name to its leader. Some Ideas: Gryphon, Dragon, Lionheart...think mythical or british style names. As always opinions are welcome. End Transmission SF Message Dump - Badger - 09-28-2006 Transmit To: All SF Personnel Comm ID: Badger Fair enough, I think 2nd Royal Squadron could stay as the reserves / trainees squadron, but I like the idea of personalised Squadron names for our battlegroups. I'd like to take the name "Lion" for our (what was 1st Royal) squadron. Fits well, being one of the most recognisable symbols of England :0) Quick situation report: Captain Lance and I have been enjoying the success of SF's combined trading efforts, and work is well underway in developing our fighters and those of some trainees, namely Rashorn (Lawncakes) and Trip. I understand you have taken Trip under your own wing recently, and it has set him in good stead. Activity in Bretonia has mostly been neutral and friendly trading, with the exception of known pirate vessel The Black Pearl drifting by. Several SSo| Bounty Hunters tracked the vessel as far as Tau 23 with the aid of our Light Fighters squadron but it managed to escape the net due to a sudden galactic storm. We shall keep our eyes peeled for that one in future. SF Message Dump - Hyperwave22 - 09-29-2006 Transmit to: All SF Personell Comm ID: Captain Hyperwave ***First, I suggest we get the new recruits to be involved on the forums, or at least try.*** Now, down to business. Two phantom ships engaged lawncakes, Gareth, and Trip yesterday. While flying in Newcastle, one phantom ship engaged at Belfast station. Other details are shady, as I was not directly involved in the fight. I suggest to all members of the SF to be wary of this threat. Transmission ends SF Message Dump - Rashorn - 09-29-2006 Transmit to: All SF Personel Comm ID: Rashorn The first stages of Operation Broadsword has been a complete success. The newly commisioned flagship SFBS-Paladin, escorted by a vhf Templar ran raids in multiple systems against molly and gaian targets. Targets included: Molly Elite Guard (Londonderry) Arranmore Base (Dublin) Belfast Production Facility (Newcastle) Skye Base (Newcastle) Heavy losses were inflicted upon the Mollys at Belfast Production Facility, with wave after wave of ships falling to the new flagship's missile batteries. SF Message Dump - Constantine - 09-29-2006 Transmit To: All SF Personnel Comm ID: Flagship Captain Lance Earlier today the 7th flagship of the SF was launched, also the 7th ship to bear the name Paladin. As a shakedown cruise the Paladin was tasked with engaging several pirate and terrorist targets around Bretonia. Operation Broadsword was a complete success with the new flagship preforming flawlessly. SF Message Dump - Constantine - 09-29-2006 Transmit To: All SF Personnel Comm ID: Flagship Captain Lance Operation Stormstrike Operation Stormstrike has began today, the SFBS Paladin and several Templar wings engaged Kusari battlegroups throughout the Tau systems. This will have severely impared the Kusari Naval Force's progress into Bretonian space. SF Message Dump - Constantine - 09-30-2006 Transmit To: All SF Personnel Comm ID: Flagship Captain Lance Container Transport group Defiant was engaged by [Wraith]Shadow, both transports escaped at the cost of 5 million credits. Suggest tightening security along the trade route. SF Message Dump - Aeon - 09-30-2006 Transmit to: All SF personnel Transmit from: High Chancellor Aeon, RAFC-Dreadnought This is an important message for the SF leadership. Earlier today i caught sight of SF Gareth as i was passing thru the Stuttgart system. As i entered the Trade Lane to Freibrug station (or watever its called) i had several seconds headstart on him. I was nearing the end of the trade lane wen he randomly passed me, which would have been impossible using the trade lane normally (especially how fast it was he caught up to me from 11k away), leading me to believe he was using the speed mod at maximum velocity. Thank you for listening to me on this matter, i hope it will be taken seriously. Transmission Ends ----------------------------------------- SF Message Dump - Constantine - 09-30-2006 Ships jump past each other in trade lanes all the time, and speed mod only affects thruster and cruise speed. NOT trade lanes. SF Message Dump - Firebird - 10-01-2006 Aeon,Sep 30 2006, 02:32 PM Wrote:Transmit to: All SF personnel Transmit to: High Chancellor Aeon, RAFC-Dreadnought and all SF personnel Transmit from: Admiral Firebird If further evidence is presented that supports your claims actions will most definitely be taken. At the moment, though I'm inclined to believe Lance's theory that it was freak tradelane effect. Myself, I've noticed that occassionally exiting a tradelane can occur at different speeds. Could also be affect of lag and that he was actually closer to you on entering the tradelane. A better estimation would be if this occurred in open space. Without further proof, no action will be taken against Gareth. To all SF personnel, if any member of the SF is found to be utilizing added abilities (like speed mod and other hacks), I will not hesitate to have them expelled from the SF and I'm sure the admins will also not hesitate to have a ban enforced. This is the only warning I will give on this issue. Transmission Ends |
