I find it... "charming" that the vets come to a long forgotten game just to squeeze their rants because they fear that what they left behind is about to be meddled with. But... they have forgotten the game and whatever it had long ago and left it. Why return to do just that and then to vanish again when your satisfaction has been satiated?
If you left the game behind totally and focus on something else, wouldn't you leave what you made in it as well?
I for one, if I'd leave disco behind completely, I wouldn't come back to it just to shout and leave right afterwards. Because, I left it behind together with all the stuff I gave it, completely. Let them who want to meddle with my stuff however they want.
The worse of this sudden revival of the vets is that...they seem to worry yet people aren't going to meddle with the phantoms in the manner said vets would think. Phantoms aren't revived or anything. Their new stuff will just be given a new, different use, that's it. The thread title is just "Phantoms 2.0" because I am sure that was way easier to type than "Something completely different that will use phantom tech and what they left behind, but it will under no circumstances be a revival of the phantoms"
It's ironic also that... before today, no one really cared about Phantoms, heck, some even treated the notion of Phantoms with disdain or even despised them. Suddenly today, they are the most loved concept/faction. However, this can be understandable as it can be done out of respect for those that gave birth to the concept

Only to prove that no matter what is done, even if it's something like making Phantom tech and asset available again, which was requested over and over and over and over again, people would still find something to complain about and flood the forums with 1-liners of "Worst decision ever. So basically it has been proven that the community reacts with QQ to stupid decisions by announcing an utterly stupid decision, and watching the reactions of community members? Great. Wonderful accomplishment.
