Shasta Main Security Control Room

"What in the name of....", Bannon said as he watched everything from the security control room. He -was- right in that something drastic would happen, but he hadn't expected the Order to be the culprit.

Suddenly, the entrance to the room bursts open. Two armed templars rushed in. "Sir!... we need to get you out of here!"

"Huh? What now? Whas the meaning of this?"

"Pope Skarsi has ordered a lockdown and the Order has issued their intention to capture the Persephone. Dr. Van Mojo has requested that you assist him in leaving Baffin, in a bid to lure them away from our sacred home."

"But...Whas about the Professor?", Bannon gestured towards the screen, showing Carlisle seemingly lost in the maze of corridors near the docking bays.

"He'll be alright, a team has been dispatched already."

"Look 'ere, we're going to pick the Professor. Aye? We can't leave wit'out him.", Bannon replies as he picks up his rifle from a nearby table.

"As you wish, sir, we're right behind you."

"You there at the controls! Keep us updated!", beckons Bannon to the lone templar manning the main panels. The three of them quickly leave the room.

With situation rapidly deteriorating and reception's attention brought elsewhere George picked up his briefcase and went into the crowd, moving past people and templar guards, searching for the man he came for today. Doc Holliday. It wasn't the way he expected this would turn, but it was hardly the time to wait any longer. Someone else might have been more preferable in this moment at this situation, but the choices weren't there.

There he was at sight. Angry and armed, seems like Doc was getting ready for a fight. Between them were a group of armed templar guards and a strangely looking mutant. One of them noticed, but George was unarmed.

"Mr. Holliday..."

RE: The Baffin Zoner Zummit on Gallia. - Doc Holliday - 08-02-2014

Doc recognized the man approaching. It had been awhile since he saw him and even then his memory was shady. Still, he remembered him. He vaguely remembered a station deep in space where he was alone, where he heard the visions of many. It was when he sought a cure for cardamine addiction. Remaining alert, he motioned the man over and moved him out of harms way.

"This really isn't the time or place so make it quick," he stated.

Isaac's panic started to fade as Tunicle's words came though the comm. Quickly leaving the crowd he positioned himself next to a rather ugly bowl of petunias set on a pedestal. Looking across the room he watched Tunicle's words come true within moments, selectively apparently, the guards of Shasta went quickly though the crowd taking some weapons but leaving others, a guard approached Isaac "Who are you with?" he harshly spit, Isaac fumbled with his ID for a moment while trying to hand it to the guard, "Uh, OSI...". The guard looked down at his data-pad and handed Isaac's ID back. "You're allowed your weapon, don't make us regret that." before quickly moving on to another guest.

Isaac leaned against the wall and crossed his arms, this was certainly an interesting development. He racked his brains on what his family had said about the Order, but nothing beyond nomad hunters came to mind. Why are they here. Isaac watched with interest as a larger commotion took place with the arrival of someone else for the Doctor.

RE: The Baffin Zoner Zummit on Gallia. - Tunicle - 08-02-2014

Tunicle repositioned himself a little closer to potential exits but still apparently bored and clutching a half empty wine glass.

Most people were milling about a little uncertainly, he noticed that Matok and his men had spread out purposefully "and openly armed", a number of others were drifting to peripheral positions and one or two seemed to be threading through the crowd.

"mmm a briefcase, nearly as anachronistic as my wristwatch, I wonder if it has any special tricks".

Still, people are paranoid and easily spooked, hopefully TAZ will calm this down and avoid lighting the slowly smouldering fuse that seemed to have gripped much of the delegation.

Still, bladders do not wait, time for a little comfort stop.

The templars stepped forward, holding their rifles. As soon as they got close to the Guardians, the young man and woman following Joseph around, they where met by the muzzle of the Guardians rifles.

Now now Guardians. Let's keep things calm and civil. Templar, my Guardians don't like it when you bring guns near them, nor near any Councilman of the Runners. You could, in some respect, call them a little paranoid I'd guess.

He sat at the table, the standoff nearby at a standstill. He calmly opened the Whiskey, pouring himself and Finn a glass, indicating Finn sit with him

I was told, by Skarski when i entered, that you would respect my right to my own protection, and that my weapons where allowed with me, so long as they where visible. If you want to take them from me, then you can get Skarski down here to explain to me why he is going back on his word. I don't trust a man that goes back on his word. It makes me uneasy. An uneasy me, means uneasy guardians. I'm sure we see the problem here.

He takes a sip of the whiskey, feeling it go down, closing his eyes a second, allowing himself to enjoy the liquid as it ran down his throat

So. Skarski down here to give me a good reason, or we can stay like this for a while. I'm not in any hurry...

He trails off, noticing Administrator Douglas within the room. Remembering an old contract for Freeport security reminded him that a Guardian team should be near Freeport 11. If things got hairy, they could always move there. Guardians always respond to the call of a Councilman. He didn't make any clear movements, but caught the eye of John Douglas, indicating he was watching, waiting, trying to cool things down.

Finn, i'm not sure we should have met under the current circumstances... but please, join me for a drink. I'm not going anywhere without a full explanation. Contract breaches do not go well with "peaceful summits".

"This really isn't the time or place so make it quick," he stated.

'George' made a quick smirk.

"On the contrary. It is the time."

The familiar sensation for Doc Holliday of a mind pulled and squeezed into a point and released back but only for a moment, a moment of transition, within one's mind could last for a little while, to the world outside but seconds passed.

*The time is right. It is the environment that had become... unaccommodating. Distracting, but for a moment or two this should not concern us.*

*Back then you wished for a delay, a time to think. Understandable so and we remained patient while you remained with your thoughts. What shall it be?*

He nodded towards the crowd, still within a snapshot of the moment.

*Alternatively you may become a martyr to your own people if you wish to, John. Such would be an unfortunate outcome in our view, but ultimately it is -irrelevant- to us, either paths are well accounted for. But you, why throw yourself away to be swept from the board? You may as well pursue your true endeavor during the -tenure- and the outcome of such may become available once your services are accomplished.*

*Then again, remain as indecisive as you were and together we'll simply watch them take what you hold dear. Were we like you... I might have found it ingeniously ironic.*

*The choice is yours to make for this very moment for it too is about to fade out.*

...

*The moments grow shorter and I see you are in turmoil of doubts.*

*We do have the solution to your troubling dilemma. Comply with good Admiral's orders, even so admit you were wrong and had come to your senses. Tell them... you are prepared to hand them over the artifact within coming weeks as a sign of a good will, a contribution in an effort against the enemy of mankind. Reconcile and repent, my friend.*

'George' gave a short pause while observing John's stumbled reaction.

*Except it will not be that artifact of yours. Rather one of ours. Similar in effect they would expect but it would have a different use and functionality embedded within. Have your people dismantle the actual drive for the time being and everything to look exactly as it should be.*

*The Singularity drive? However you may call it, is of no interest to us. We recognize the technology, however let's say we had taken a different path and this one holds no intrinsic value to us. Peculiar, perhaps so, but serving our purposes it does not. The important ones are far and few.*

As Marie waited for the TAZ Templars to give her and her guards clearance for keeping her weapons, she send encrypted comms to both Tunicle and Isaac.

"Both of you come to me right now. There is too much commotion, and I don't need anyone getting shot, especially not one of my employees. Make sure that your emergency personal shields are activated, and hurry."

She then make a sign to the captain of the guards around her. Hisses, clicks, hums, and various other noises could be heard as their armors activated and deployed. Marie then send a comm to Skarsi.

"Pope Skarsi, could you please recommend a safe meeting point for the OSI delegation? Furthermore, I'd like to talk to you personally about something concerning security. Merci beaucoup."

She then strolled off throughout the commotion in the direction of a calmer area, the bodyguards making a protective circle around her.

RE: The Baffin Zoner Zummit on Gallia. - Stoner_Steve - 08-03-2014

Isaac's communicator lit up attracting his attention. Upon seeing the message written to him he left his position and started to seek out Marie among the commotion, certainly today wasn't a good day for Isaac to leave his company issued equipment on the ship. Finding Marine he started to talk, "So, uh, things still a little tense I see."

RE: The Baffin Zoner Zummit on Gallia. - n00bl3t - 08-03-2014

A runner guard from Douglas' security detachment made it to Parkes. Demesa had watched the main group disperse and the runner make it through the crowd.

"Sir, I've been instructed to tell you that the John Douglas is calling it quits. We RV at the hangars in 10 minutes." The guard was quick in delivering the message.

"We don't need an escort to the hangars. We'll get moving there now. Make sure John doesn't wait." Parkes said it quickly. He and John may be vying for power over Freeport 11, but this was a universal threat and that meant working together for the love of home.

The runner moved onwards whilst reporting the situation into his mic.

Parkes turned to his guest, "Dankien, it's up to you whether you leave or not, but considering how this situation has gone to all hell I'm not risking it. Risk of nomads was high enough, but now the risk of dying to some idiot discharging a gun or some conflict with The Order is ridiculous."

"Good luck!" Parkes held Moebus eye contact for a few seconds and then smiled a disappointed smile. Demesa had her gun out. They were going to make it to the hangar.

"Hopefully John's still there." Parkes thought about Douglas and his team.
