The only thing that saves my nearly billion dollar liner is its armor, even then a bomber can take all of my b/b and leave me with very little hull. Conceptually liners are fortresses, and I would like them to be that way, however I understand the need to keep them rare. The question is what to do about it. Should we make a plugin that only lets them buy humans? Should we make them request only? Should we make a battleship license a requirement? Even human cargo. I jsut no longer can fly those things. I really hate going into Eta because I know i'll get owned by NPCs who take 10 SIDEWINDERS TO KILL!! How about make the missiles do the damage their supposed to? The NPCs don't even have armour upgrades and they JUST WON'T DIE!! Imagine if they did have armour upgrades? Whilst i'm here, a small thing thats been bothering me. Why is it that when NPCs use their bats it only just restores their shield (which is better), but we have to restore our shield to full strength when we might not want to? I get raped by 4 of them in my cruiser.Fixed.:P Okay, That's It! - darthbeck - 08-24-2009 after getting a liner(prsion liner) i have reversed my views on this. i made it 20k before dying with a gunboat and bomber firing on me. this is with cap IV, in open space. now this is just plain crazy. while i dont think a liner should be able to kill a fair number of bombers, i do think it should be able to run further then that. please, increase the hull of liners, remove guns if need be, but for the sake of everyone using a liner, GIVE US MORE HULL! And people complained about them being overpowed in the last version... |
