Rheinland Taxation Feedback and Discussion - 11of10 - 09-23-2009 @ bear Actually, a smart trader would appreciate the presence of RFP or RM, as the Rheinland law states that all foreign vessels must be escorted during their time in Rheinland. @ everyone else... well, this might make it a bit more visited, but in essence, everyone is running after the money, mostly... so, it is not going to make a cardinal change. Just a small one... for instance, I'll go ahead and make a Rheinland Polizei character, that I allready wanted to Rheinland Taxation Feedback and Discussion - Malexa - 09-23-2009 Alright, I am currently overworking the system right now. Loogas and several others had some good ideas and I missed the point of "incoming goods" and "outgoing goods". I will change it for only outgoing rheinland goods, since this makes the most sense. Also the Classes gets a rework into several categories. Basic, Industrial, Military and others. And browsing the whole 9 Pages, gave me a pretty impression, that some few people just read "tax" and "rheinland". Open the real list, have a look on it. Synth foods will suddenly realize that they DONT have to pay taxes. Unless you trade Engine Components......most unlikely, is it? Food and even Synth Paste is basic stuff, and tax free. And it will stay like this. The basic stuff is tax free, only the industrial and above will recieve a tax. Outgoing from now on. Rheinland Taxation Feedback and Discussion - Ceoran - 09-23-2009 Didn't read all the stuff, I'm in a lazy mood right now. Just my thoughts: Get the official RFP in too, except they say they don't want to. And please add a notice that it's only about cargo crossing the Liberty borders, or maybe whole Rheinland if the Trader is a Libertonian. From what it's written down right now you could also tax Kusari imports in Frankfurt, or Bretonians in Stuttgart. (which would most likely cut your supply lines by those two houses.) Rheinland Taxation Feedback and Discussion - Cyberanson - 09-23-2009 Ceoran, please read our proposal again (or at least one time at all) or wait for the updated version. We are at a point where we recognized that taxes on imports don't make sense at all. Exports are the key, in combination with various good classes. And to tax on the Libertonian border only would be rediculous. Rheinland Taxation Feedback and Discussion - looqas - 09-23-2009 One more thing. Why not make it the other way instead of stating e.g. Oil over 500 unit will get a tax etc. Simply state that any vessel of having cargo space of over 1000 units is subject to tax? That way you don't need to play about with how much one commodity is taking space. Please. No different list prices... Rheinland Taxation Feedback and Discussion - Cyberanson - 09-23-2009 Thanks looqas. Will be implemented most likely. Rheinland Taxation Feedback and Discussion - Malexa - 09-23-2009 brilliant looqas! Farb gets invited for a dinner by Malte, thats for sure. Thats why I am glad to have thrown it into this tiger-pit. The hungry ones, tear everything appart and complain that its too less food. The also hungry, but more thoughtfull ones, will look where the best parts are and take them with pleassure. Thanks for the valuable feedback. It will get a bit more slim now and scaled down to only 2 taxed classes. 100.000 and 150.000. Only outgoing stuff and Rheinland produced/sold. Quick EDIT: Yeah the RFP will get involved in this of course. Just not the RM indies for now. Also the ideas with weekly payment is somehow good, but everywhere used. I want to try this one out and it already improoves. Licensing or weekly payment is more paperwork and gets most likely on my or one of the Vizeadmirals hands. Active in space taxing implements the players in space. More player to player interaction. Rheinland Taxation Feedback and Discussion - looqas - 09-23-2009 *Farb dislikes Vierlande's prison food and declines* Well, it's nice to see how you 'guarantee' the Rheinland to be pirate free.;)You got me interested there I tell you that. But I think the only way I see this to provide good RP experience for both parties (trader and RM) is to state that all the traders who have paid the tax are entitled to escort to Rheinland borders. That way you can neatly have A) the actual fund transfer operation B) control that the trader is out-bound with Rheinland goods C) provide return for the tax money for traders D) get RP conversation out of it E) have your presence in all Rheinland systems (who knows what you might find there instead of being in Hamburg/Berlin) F) provide Rheinland unlawfuls big amount of roleplay opportunities to try to pirate the traders (and think about the propaganda we can hurl at your ever more tightening grip on Rheinland) Rheinland Taxation Feedback and Discussion - Cyberanson - 09-23-2009 Looqas, you should leave the RHA and join the RM. You bring up awesome ideas.:)Thanks a lot. Although I dislike the thought of the RM being escorts. We are not there to escort traders in the first way. We will solve this with some RP I guess. "Pilot of the 'Trade.Vessel', today is your lucky day: we have a patrol going into the same direction as your way." Although I dislike the thought of the RM being escorts. We are not there to escort traders in the first way. No thanks. I'm too indoctrinated. I can see through the lies of the Kanzler. Besides any authority needs to be a fast typer and able to multiprocess the situation(s) to be a very good at what he/she does. I lack the essential skills needed there. :secret: Sure there are situations where you can not collect the tax or provide escort. Say you are engaged already. But you can handily state in your "Willkommen to Rheinland" brochure that traders are escorted if there are ships available. On the record. I trade in Rheinland and I'd like the idea in the spirit of it trying to uplift the RP. But at the same time I want it to be doable and as simple as possible and on top of that enjoyable to all. That's a pretty tall order, but one can always hope. |
