Contest: 200 for the 200 - Zap - 12-08-2007
Tbh this seems to be the same kind of attack which has happened on the server i was dep head admin on (JOLT) and also happened on HC, Void, & EFS.:(
If you install something like Microsoft Netmonitor it will show the attack as UDP and TCP connects on the DX play ports. (They spoof connects on DX play to make it look like client connects) and you can see them getting destination host unreachable errors as it spams the same ports.
If im right about the people responsible, ill have a chat with them and ask em what the hell they think they are doing.

Yeah, it was a person who attacked the server that many of the new players coming here now played on. This essentially killed the server, we couldn't really do anything about it. He's got a personal vendetta against a few of us and we fear that he may have come to harass us here as well.

It aint exactly a personal vendetta, they just want all the big servers to go down and their own server to be left.

The attacker's IP has been tracked down and a formal complaint has been sent to a certain german ISP with full evidence from the IPaudit logs.
