Well, in that case, as in real life, I would create and execute some new strategy of 'dealing with this Eagle problem'. Different than strategy 'facing someone no matter I have 1-5% chance of winning'. Like fight them only with strong support of my group, never duel them, always run when there's 1 on 1 and call for support. Make this Eagle chase me to jump hole, where my mates are already waiting. I'm a Disco noob, and not an fight-expert but I would do something like that. It's cool that hypothetical Eagle is so lethal to me, and it's cool to use proper strategy to make him die foolishly. Such 'lethal enemy advantage' makes this game even more fun, cause you got the challenge and you need rely even more on the rest of the community. And that is - for me - the sense of playing online. Edit: I can't and I won't agree with your statement that: "You do know that this is a game, right? It shouldnt be unfair to anyone, because everyone is trying to enjoy it." WRONG. VERY WRONG. We are in virtual 'world' here, created, administered and used by ususal people, not by robots or machines;)So this electronic world will always be as unfair as real world. I will always be terrible at this game so long as mines continue to be the main source of Fighter dogfight damage. I'm not really qualified to comment on balance as I'm horrible at PvP, but.. I wish fighter dogfights were based on guns/missiles/torpedoes rather than mines. Something needs to be done, because right now it feels as if you have no control over the flow of dogfights. Actually Missiles are also bad so nobody uses them much. I would say that 80% of the dmg comes from the guns rest 10 % mines and 10% razors/snacs- in fighter/bomber fights I mean. Turn rate? Yeah the Tridente is more nimble like you expect, Tridente 0.650 vs Orca 0.625 Ship size? Yep the Tridente is a bit smaller (especially from the sides) and has large gaps in the top and bottom of the model, while Orca is a big blob that can be hit from any angle Well the Orca must be stronger right? Not on hull strength... Tridente 97000 vs Orca 96000 Well come on the Orca is the gunBOAT so it must have more firepower! Tridente 8 guns (6 forward), Orca 7 guns (5 forward), so the Tridente has ~16% higher firepower than the Orca. The Orca does have the "forward gun" cannon that works if the target stays within a 1 square centimeter of the screen long enough for the energy burst to hit the target, so it does not get used in these fights and is only useful against pirate transports and the rare destroyer. Hrm well the Orca must have more bots then? No they are the same 350/350 So lets see, Tridente can turn faster and stay out of Orca targeting reticle, has holes in the hitbox that let weapon fire pass through, can outpace the Orca on damage even if they are facing each other directly, and Tridente has stronger hull than the Orca to boot. So you know... there's a matchup where you will lose every fight unless the Tridente makes some kind of basic mistake. Missiles, CD's and Torpedoes have a very high chance of missing because they get laggy, and that makes them useless more then half of the time.
