Ouray Inn (iRP) - Penpen - 01-21-2011 Coral was sitting at the very end of the Inn. Having a drink while reading through a neverending pile of papers. Paperwork that needed to be done. Paperwork that was necessary but nobody gave a damn about. Been a while that she's been at Refugio, visiting all the old friends she saved from Huntsville, Texas. Good honest people who were just fed up with life, the government. People who refused to step in line, doing what everyone does or.. doesn't. While she was some kind of lost in her work, two black clothed men stepped up the stage, preparing to sing their song. The only one they had. Coral glanced. Would they ever come up with something new? Still the masses already started to dance. 'Time to get the work done and leave that place', Coral thought as the music started playing. Rollin rollin rollin Though the streams are swollen Keep them doggies rolling Rawhide Rain and wind and weather Hell bent for leather Wishing my girl was by my side All the things Im missin Good victuals, love and kissin Are waiting at the end of my ride The end of the ride. Will there ever be one? Coral was fed up with Liberty. The Xenos once became her family... her home. Soon they called her a Hatchling... She did not feel like being 'at home'. Then they made her a Juvenile. She got a bigger ship, bigger guns, a cannon mounted on her wings, that was so devastating that even the biggest and toughest hulls cracked after a few hits. A few 'kills' later she became a Royal. More paperwork, even bigger guns, a bomber. Yet, she did not feel at home. And now.. now she was a Wing-Commander. Responsible for so many lives that often ended during or after the first flight. She was glad, to be part of the Serpentis Wing. None of them died. Yet.. but sooner or later someone would give his live for a better Liberty. Keep movin movin movin Though their disapprovin Keep them doggies moving Rawhide Dont try to understand them Just rope, throw and brand them Soon well be living high and wide My hearts calculating My true love will be waiting Be waiting at the end of my ride The end of the ride. Coral once more glanced at her paperwork. She'd just give it to someone else and get drunk. That sounded like a plan. Observing the Inn for the black plated 'one' was without success. She made her way right through the Inn's counters, sitting on one of the wooden stools. For today, this is the end of my ride, she thought. Ordered a drink and joined the cheering crowd, as the two men on stage started playing the song for a fourth time. Ouray Inn (iRP) - Daedric - 01-28-2011 After getting a pitcher of beer from the bartender, Joe made his way to an open table near the back of the bar. Setting the pitcher down and pouring himself a glass he looked around the bar, taking in his new found freedom. He pulled a cigar out from his coat and lite it as if waiting for someone. Ouray Inn (iRP) - Penpen - 01-28-2011 Followed by a few dozen crew members, Coral entered the Inn as usual, kicking the doors open and rather rushing straight to the counter to order some beer. "Ladies, Ladies! One round he said. Beer only. Better order the extra large ones!" she smiled, grabed a beer, and went strolling down to the very last table of the bar, where that yet unfamiliar smoking man was sitting. "What else can you do but paying some beer, cowboy?" she said and sat down, emptying her mug in a few gulps. "Saw your ship's in a bad condition. Guess we can fix it and add some goodies but.. what do we get in return?" She turned around to order another round of beer for the thirsty crewmen, who directly started celebrating it. Ouray Inn (iRP) - Tanker - 01-29-2011 Jonathon can hear the noise from the bar as he turns the corner of the passage way. "This is more like it" He thinks, "It's been too quiet in there lately" He enters the bar with the usual calls of greeting.."Hey Boss!.. Come join us for a drink"... Jonathon waves a greeting to everyone there. He stops at the bar and whispers something to the bartender , who nods his head and breaks out into a grin. Jonathon then steps over to where Coral was talking with a person who only could be Joe. "Nice to meet ya Joe, I'm Jonathon. I see Coral has everything under control. I just wanted to welcome you into the Xeno Alliance" He then proclaims loudly "Free round of "Mother's Finest" for everyone!" The bar erupts in cheers.. Ouray Inn (iRP) - Daedric - 01-29-2011 Smiling as Coral sat down, Joe slid the pitch of beer her way. "I can make some killer BBQ if I can get my hands on a good pit. You ever had Texas brisket? You help me keep that scrap heap running and I'll train its weapons on targets of your choosing." Hearing some of the other patrons hollering, "Hey Boss!.. Come join us for a drink!" Joe looked around to see who they were all hollering at, didn't take long as the man came walking over to the table, "Nice to meet ya Joe, I'm Jonathon. I see Coral has everything under control. I just wanted to welcome you into the Xeno Alliance." With that he turned and yelled, "Free round of "Mother's Finest" for everyone!" which cause the bar to erupt into cheers. Looking Coral in the eyes, "BBQ and guns enough?" Ouray Inn (iRP) - Penpen - 01-29-2011 "Well, he's the boss. I wanted to make it a little difficult tos e how you're doin' but.."she sighs "ya.. He's the boss!" She went up again and turned around and strolled to a table in a rather dark corner of the Inn. Someone with a huge profile, sitting in the dark, left alone by everyone stood up, gave her some kind of a hug and followed Coral to the table. "Joe Castle, Jararaca. Jar, this is Joe. A new Xeno, so to say." She layed her arm around his enormous neck. "Now, don't know what's on your schedule, Joe, but consider it canceled. We're getting drunk now! She smiled, took both men's arms and dragged them right into the partying masses. Ouray Inn (iRP) - Capt. Henry Morgan - 01-29-2011 Glenn walked into Ouray Inn. He hadn't been here in a while, but a round of drinks was just the thing to celebrate. His old Raptor Wing flight patch caught some strange looks since that wing had been disbanded a long while before. Since then, he had been serving as Commander Air Group on the Alamo, but he kept his old flight patch for old times sake. Now that he had taken a leave of absence from Alamo, he was finally getting a chance to get back on the front lines. He had just gotten his Spatial into fighting shape, and had taken it out on it's shakedown run. He had gotten three kills, too. Two were fighters that thought to kill him, but the third was a transport caught carrying goods out of Liberty. As expected, the transport's captain's greed outweighed his sense of self-preservation, and his cargo got burned with the ship still around it. He got his drink from the bar, and looked around the inn for a familiar face. Ouray Inn (iRP) - Tanker - 01-29-2011 ....chuckling softly to himself from the amount of cheers he received from his announcement of free drinks, Jonathon thought he caught a glimpse of of someone familiar. Someone that he hasn't seen in a long long time. Jonathon starts scanning the crowd, This time intent on who it is he is actually looking for. At first, he just sees the normal patrons of the Inn, the crewmen and assorted helpers, his pilots, of course Jararaca, "No one could miss seeing him" Jonathon chuckles to himself. "There" Jonathon finally sees who it was that he had glimpsed. An older pilot. He was attracting a few bemused stares from the younger personel. They wear all looking at his Raptor Wing flight patch not quite knowing what to make of it. But Jonathon did. He walked on over to the bar where the pilot was standing, as if searching for someone. "Glenn, How the hell are ya!" Jonathon exclaims. "It certainly has been a long time! Good to see ya. Now this is something to celebrate" with that said Jonathon turns to the bartender and says "Another round of "Mother's Finest" on me!" Jonathon raises his glass to Glenn, "It really is good to see ya man" Ouray Inn (iRP) - Capt. Henry Morgan - 01-30-2011 In the sea of new faces, a familiar one found Glenn first. "John, it's good to see you! It really has been a long time, hasn't it?" Glenn takes his drink off the bar, and the two walk over to one of the few empty tables left. "I had to get out of the Alamo for a bit. Commanding the Guard wing on the Alamo is like herding cats sometimes. Some days, I swear those kids couldn't find their backsides with both hands. In that way, I guess it's not much different than your job. Speaking of which, how goes the fight these days?" Ouray Inn (iRP) - Tanker - 02-01-2011 Jonathon takes a long drink of his beer..."It is going, Some days we do well, some days we don't. At one time we darn near ran out of ducttape!" Jonathon signals the bartender for another round. "We have made some headway, There are a couple of Liberty Corporations who are, well let's just say, more sensitive to the needs of the Liberty people." "We have been getting donations fairly regular to the soup kitchens on Houston and Pittsburgh, as well as a few loads to Ouray itself" He pauses, "Of course it's been done by anonymous donors" Jonathon chuckles, "but we know who they are." "It really has been a long time, though I hope to see ya around here alittle more often. That is, if ya have the time to get away from Alamo" Jonathon chuckles.."Herding cats".."Now that is funny!!" |
