Coalition Recruitment Thread - Yuveraj Khan - 08-31-2010 "So no mercenary work either," Khan shrugged. "Have you spent any time in a fighter? If so, tell me about that experience... where were you, what happened... how did you... feel in the cockpit?" Coalition Recruitment Thread - Saronsen - 08-31-2010 "Yes. I have spent most of my time in a fighter, my Crow being docked just outside." "It is.. Exciting, but it makes you feel vulnerable all the same, your small craft able to be overcome by both space, and other larger ships. But at the same time, you are quick and precise. You're the one in control." "Perhaps my greatest experience would be when a wing of Corsairs attacked the mining group I was with. It was intense, and I lost several friends that day. I even received a few injuries of my own. The Corsairs are brutal, skilled pilots, and for that they deserve a shaky respect, no matter how loathful they might be." //EDIT: I will have to come back later, slight emergency has come up. Coalition Recruitment Thread - Yuveraj Khan - 08-31-2010 There was a moment of silence in the room. "Yes, you would do well to never, ever underestimate the Corsairs. They set traps, play games, bait and lure..." Khan reached for his tea. "I think you would do well... but I want to know have you ever seen Hokkaido from 300k straight up? Or found the edge to the gas clouds? Sirius is a wonderous place... filled with the strangest things imaginable. Some of them are terrible, some are... almost surreal." Coalition Recruitment Thread - Bobthemanofsteel - 08-31-2010 Aleksander docked his battered old Griffin, marching straight to the recruitment office and throwing open the door. "It is I, my brothers and sisters! Aleksander Dorchstsky!" he declared, walking to the desk where the Forms were stacked. "These are the forms, Da? DA! I shall fill them out immediately!" Aleksander spent the next half hour filling out forms, his literacy skills were not their sharpest. Finally signing the last page, he turned to the other waiting applicants. "My friends, do you know where I could get some Borscht? I am absolutely starving!" Coalition Recruitment Thread - Yuveraj Khan - 08-31-2010 Alicia produced a separate form, "I am sorry, could you please fill out this one... and proceed directly to medical for a full genetic scan... precautions, you know... in case of infection. Corporal Boris here will escort you. Bring the results straight back here when you are done..." She smiled pleasantly and gestured to a sign. "In the Coalition we do not discriminate against age, race, sex, sexuality, or species... however we prefer that some things are... up front... just a precaution, just so you know." Coalition Recruitment Thread - Bobthemanofsteel - 08-31-2010 Aleksander listened closely to the womans words, making sure he caught every word. He spent a second processing, then grinned widely. "Da! Of course! I shall return soon!" he turned to the corporal, clapping him on the back. "Boris, comrade, shall we go? I would like to get this over with so I may return for my acceptance into this glorious Coalition!" Coalition Recruitment Thread - Yuveraj Khan - 08-31-2010 Boris led the overly enthusiastic recruit down through the halls, to a room where he was stripped, hosed off, prodded, poked, searched, shaved, sheared, shorn, tested, analyzed, shaken, stirred, and of course probed. Coalition Recruitment Thread - Bobthemanofsteel - 08-31-2010 Aleksander endured the tests heroicly, never once allowing the myriad of tools used on him to throw him off. Once he was again fully clothed, he looked at Boris. "Comrade, that was most demeaning! But, I endure for the glory of the Coalition! Though, I never expected you to it yourself, da? Did you enjoy it, comrade?" Aleksander giggled. "WELL! I hope these tests were enough to show that I am 100% Patriotic!" Coalition Recruitment Thread - Yuveraj Khan - 08-31-2010 Boris's eye twitched. "If you want, I show you pride of the Coalition... it is through big door over there... ignore flashing lights... all part of show..." Coalition Recruitment Thread - Lobster - 08-31-2010 A young woman slid into the room after immediately after Dorchstsky. Shaking her head at the loud noisy ox in-front of her, she slipped her hand past him as he turned away from the desk and took some papers of her own. Sitting down next to the man in a chair, and smoothed down the legs of her pants. The woman produced a fountain pen from the front pocket of her vest and began to work on filling out the paperwork. After ten or so minutes, the lady abruptly clasped the cap on her pen shut, a look of satisfaction washing across her face before vanishing without a hint of even being there. Having finished the forms, the woman moved, standing up from her with an air of urgency. Walking over to the desk where she got them, she silently handed the papers to the person in front of her and vanished once more into the waiting room, blending into the sea of people. The only clue the silent girl left of lingering there was the information on the application, filled out by one Angelika Irma Grunwald. |
