Khan nodded encouragingly to the recruit, "I tell you what... you go and do those two things... and while you are there I would like you to read some of the collected writings of Lenin..." he snapped his fingers, and Alicia appeared, handing the data reader to the recruit.
"When you come back, I want you to tell me one passage from it that inspires you the most. Motivates you to don a uniform and partake of the glorious fighter corps... Three days, as per usual."

Aleksander didn't catch Boris' words as the door slammed shut behind him.
Before he new it, Aleksander was weightless, drifting slowly away from the Destroyer.
As the breath was sucked from his lungs, he caught a glimpse through the galley window, where a crewmember was eating some Borscht.
His last thought was how happy that crewmember looked, eating that tasty, tasty, Coalition Borscht.

Cassie watched the previous applicant leave the room, standing up to take her place. She stepped into the office and nervously closed the door behind her.
The girl bowed awkwardly, feeling self-conscious and out of place. Her eyes studied the room and it's contents, eventually laying her eyes on Khan. She inched towards his desk, waiting for him to speak.

Khan looked a little annoyed, standing up and walking through to the reception. He pointed at someone randomly.
"You!" he said, crooking his finger. "Come into my parlor."

He realized quickly that someone had, in fact, slipped past him.
He held up a hand and shook his head, "clever to do that... do you have much experience as a scout?" He touched her shoulder, guiding her to the settee and motioning for her to sit down.
"Tell me what brings you to the Coalition today, comrade?"
His eye twitched as a body drifted past the window...

Cassie proceeded to sit down next to Khan, smiling as she did so. She did not answer right away, and instead removed a small felt-tip pen from the front of her tattered overalls. With that, she took a small scrap of paper from her pocket, and shook off some of the lint.
For a few seconds more, she was silent, drawing a few little diagrams. She handed to scrap of paper to Khan, and on it a number of pictures.
The first was six, poorly scrawled letters, spelling out her name. The second was a small picture of a wobbly face, with poorly drawn hands covering the mouth. Cassie pointed to these, and then pointed again at her sternum like she had to Mikhail.
The last diagram was a number of stick-men, all on their hands and knees, as if cowering from something. Next to them, was a number of broken stick-men, with a little skull and crossbones above them. In-between the the two groups, Cassie had drawn a bigger stick-man, wearing a dress. She pointed to that stick-man, and again pointed at her sternum.

With a look out the viewport to his far right he caught a glimpse of a corpse floating, a subtle eye twitch crossed his features before he schooled himself into a neutral expression.
"Well...At least that wasn't weird." he sarcasticly tells himself, taking another drag from his Cigarette. Strangely he felt the need to eat some Borscht before he shook the urge out of his mind.
As he watches Khan walk back into his office with yet another potential recruit he smiles all so slightly to himself, today would prove entertaining to the Fighter Corps' Commandate...
