I understand your wish of outfitting your vessels with more 'superior' weaponry. However, there's a story behind the Belial's "effectiveness" and "renowned energy efficiency". I must admit that our engineers and scientist are no clever people - well actually none in amongst the Rogues really is - for what reason they've got me doing the paperwork and serious decisions. Uhm, however - originally our guns weren't meant to become that 'superior' since we simply lacked the know-how and ressources to create an effective laser.
In the end, the weapon's success was merely a mistaken experiment, where we drowned dog puppies in liberty ale tanks, adding gunpowder and the wreck parts of a destroyed Liberty Carrier. Long story short - we created a laser based weapon which was said to be the most dangerous fighter weapon Sirius-wide. By the way - Sirius is larger than Liberty I got told! Anyhow, the scientist who lead the experiment got accidentally drowned in the test tanks, since he got mistaken with the dogs... Yes - he had those eyes looking similar to the puppies' ones. And as I've already pointed out - not all Rogues are that smart as the mighty warlord and my humble self. So... ah right - the upshot was, that said drowned scientist did no notes about his experiment because he couldn't... write, nor swim.
And the upshot of that huge failure was, that the weapons could only be successfully mounted on Rogue ships. With all other ships we noticed a more and less massive energy drawback, which made them useless for foreign vessels.
The final point is - that I wouldn't suggest you to use them, since they won't, and likely never will work properly on your ship. If you want them whatsoever, we can arrange a meeting in Liberty for the sale. Though, when you're already on your way to here - escort a shippment of orange dream down here! The last supply was weeks ago, and we really need the credits.
