Attacking Traders - Jack-Sparrow - 05-16-2006 I suggest that a Pirate should have right to attack a Trader whenever he wants, and the Trader should be on some high level of course. BUT give a warning to the Trader before he attacks, cuz a Pirate is living on looting Traders right? If u wanna be Trader you`ll have to take that risk that u can be attacked by pirates, otherwise its no idea being pirate if u have to ASK for money. Who`s with me!!?? :D Cya all in space: Jack Attacking Traders - Dab - 05-16-2006 I agree. Give warnings if you want to call yourself a pirate. If you jsut shoot first then you are a terrorist and I'll direct you to the nearest Phantom recruitment center  . BUT, I DO NOT think that pirates should be in battleships when they are pirating. The biggest ship they should have is the huegenot or gunboats. Attacking Traders - Jack-Sparrow - 05-16-2006 Yes that i can live with, no bigger than a *cruiser* of some kind. Attacking Traders - Korrd - 05-16-2006 I agree. Attacking Traders - Jack-Sparrow - 05-16-2006 And if the Trader gets attacked by a Pirate, he may do as he like to get out of there: Fight/Pay or Flee but NO F1! *thats for cowards and crybabies* He may also land on a nearby base and maybe try talk to the attacker to get a safe end for hes own sake. If Traders agree now: They may stay at base for a short amount of time like 5 min. Then they must launch and continue even if the pirate is still there. Attacking Traders - Fellow Hoodlum - 05-16-2006 Sorry Guys what are we agreeing on .... Jacks statement, which is pretty much like it is now so nots let change it. The Time for talk is past ... Or ship size ... which is a difficult one, As we have the world and his dog in the Osiris now. Much nicer than the Battlestars, and so Freelancer. But still a cheeky size for your average pirate. But ... Hey, who is going to police that one .. Might make the Traders arm and take Escorts which will keep the mercs in business or you have the choice of trading with a BS aswell ... Ramble over .... Hoodlum  Attacking Traders - Jack-Sparrow - 05-16-2006 So what your saying is that you dont like my suggestion or maybe thats me not getting it? As you said it`ll keep the MERC working isint that good? Attacking Traders - Angel - 05-16-2006 Quote:As we have the world and his dog in the Osiris now. Yeah, in the past 1 beta and now the new version, everyones buying my Osirus..........when there used to be only 2 or 3 diehard Osirus players Quote:I DO NOT think that pirates should be in battleships when they are pirating. The biggest ship they should have is the huegenot or gunboats. Umm so how do u expect to deal with hole convoys?, not to mention that BS's are very slow in there turning and can be out flowen by Trains and stuff like that, thats before they change characters and hunt u down with there own BS's Using battleships is fine. Attacking Traders - xit - 05-16-2006 As has already been said, this is already part of the server rules. At least the part about pirates attacking traders. Apart from that I agree with it, traders shouldn't be safe. This is after all a PvP server. I don't, however, like the idea of traders only being allowed 5 mins at a base. Logically a trader wouldn't stick his nose out, if he knew people were waiting for him. Would be too dangerous. Doesn't make sense RP wise. Attacking Traders - Fellow Hoodlum - 05-16-2006 Sorry Jack I was agreeing with you in principle ... But I don't think we should have any more rules governing this now. Pirates are going to use any ship they want now and there is very little anyone can do about it. So we all have traders and Battleships, its going to make things interesting I don't however like the 5 minute rule, if you get safe you should be able to stay that way until you feel like leaving. As Xit says illogical to leave when you know someone is going to try to kick your ass. So after all this we are pretty much back to where we were when we started. which worked fine. So traders, get smart and take your chances. Pirates, its never going easy catching them, but thats the game. No more unenforcable rules please, lets use our common sense and police ourselves. Finally Angel, the Osiris was always a good ship and my favourite, but sooo under- gunned for the price. I swapped my Battlestar immediately the changes came in. Now that is good balancing ...
