My shields can't go down. Tried attacking everything,no luck,a whole armada can't bring my starflier down (just started a new game). I saw an old post,and it said deleting the vanilla FL - tried deleting the savegames,no luck. Help? :/

if you start a new game in Disco singleplayer you're invincible normally I think.
try typing godmode into the console, or buy another ship.

well if your playing in single player, you start with an admin shield, making you invincible to npcs. if multi player, its a bug and might need to remake the person, use /restart, or contact an admin.
