For those in the US, of course, it has to be qualified by Daylight Savings Time. That's why I always put mine as GMT-5/6: 6 normally, 5 during DST.

That's the beauty of it. It tells you the time (and takes into account DST also), so all you need to know is what time GMT the event is about to start.
