Outcasts and Nomads? - Fluffyball - 08-18-2013

This have been bothering me since the most first visits on the RP server few years ago. Why Outcasts are neutral or even friendly to the Nomads?

Something to do with Cardi, Don Kavash and Training Grounds if I believe right.

The Nomads protect their burial grounds from pillaging and sacrilege.

They sorta revere them, from what I gathered playing as one.

I know there's rumours about OCs thinking of nomads as spirits, but it is a bit weird to have them as neutrl, seeing as Cress the outcast is one of the guys who helps you beat em in SP, an you use cali the OC base to escape them.

RE: Outcasts and Nomads? - Shizune - 08-18-2013

If you read the nomadic lore you can understand why

Short way of saying:

The Outcasts think cardi is a gift from the Nomads
The Outcasts think that the Nomads (AKA Spirits) are what happens to those that are cleansed by the K'Hara and/or Nomads
The Outcasts have a link (Or to my understanding atleast) between the nomads and humans, even to as far to have human soldiers in the K'Hara ranks.

On the K'Hara side
The K'Hara have a link to the humans they can use to get information
The K'Hara see the Outcasts as bretheran due to the Cardi they breath as both outcasts and k'hara find something in common with it
The K'Hara protect the 'burial' grounds were outcast pilots/captains die. AKA the Jump hole to 90 and the area around it

So to say its more a give and take situation, remove one thing from the equation and the whole thing might fail between the Outcasts and the K'Hara

Edit: Just saying, some of my K'Hara lore might be wrong so don't say anything against me if i am xD

Be cautious about confusing actual lore, with stuff some of the players have made up, and written on the forum/wiki/their own personal document.

The actual lore connections between OC/Noms are vague hints at best.

Then Gallia doesn't exist and the Tau War never happened.

The Nomad lore being referenced is as much a part of the lore (at least on this server) as those events.

Gallia and the tau war are ingame, much of the nomad RP people confuse for lore is not. I expect you to tell the difference.

Then the Treaty of Curacao never happened and no-fire zones don't exist at freeports. (Or did mention of those get added in 4.86? I haven't seen it yet anyway.)

Lore is lore compared to vanilla Tongue It still doesn't hurt to read up on it for your own well being.
