Server maintenance at 4:00 GMT every day. Some server crashes sometimes. If it doesn't appear when you try to connect, wait a bit, and after 30 minuts, wait again...
Server announcements are here, if you see nothing, it's not an important crash, and it should be fixed quicly...

How long have you not been able to connect? If its just a few minutes then be patient, if its a few weeks, then get worried and start shouting for help.
