Tau-42, Farmer's Alliance Guard - Lucend - 07-16-2008

The Guard system has been discussed and under construction for a while. And while there have been problems, the system is coming along.

In game SS are going to have to wait, as I'm trying to get the asteroids and background to sync up with the rest of the Taus. Additionally, if anyone has any advice or suggestions, you can post here or PM me or Zelot directly.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions as to the feasibility of adding character on bases, let me know.

This project is considered "very under construction."

Remember that systems are not right beside an other. they might be light years away from each others. So depending on this, sometimes it is unlogical to make a system use the same roid field as in the previous one. But that depends, for example, see the Barrier, you have an ice field in Cortez and Magelan.

Agreed Valiant.

Looking back on the system map, 42 is set in the middle of the Barrier and Crow clouds. Anything could be in the system, except bright green or something that stands out. (So perhaps an ice field mixed with a blue nebula? I'm doin it!)

Also, is there anything against using the icebase model from Willard Research Station? Might be cool.

Edited to add: I'm getting close to SSing it. Expect the pics soon.

I don't think there's anything against the Willard base model. It's vanilla as far as i know so you should be fine. Can't wait to see the screens!

Tau-42, Farmer's Alliance Guard - Zelot - 07-29-2008

I would love if we could use the Willard model, as I think it is just right in this case.

Tau-42, Farmer's Alliance Guard - Sand_Spider - 07-29-2008

Well Tau-65 has the Willard base model in it, so you can use it if you like..

An update on the progress of the system...

In the front, Saga Station undergoing construction of sensitive and classified equiptment, in the background an undiscovered planet. with an outcropping of the Crow Nebula caught in it's gravitational well.

Secondly, we have Cape Soya, concealed in the Ryuku Barrier Cluster and keeping watch over the Tau-44 Jumphole. The Light of the nearby sun illuminating the asteroids and ice particles.

Don't forget that the nabula must NOT be too big. (seems ok, if the image is acurate)

Please check all Igiss's system making rules before sending it.

Put an exclusion zone around the base please. docking issues with caps... wanna play pong 3D?

err is it normal that your solar panel is not pointing in the right direction?

I'm thinking about either reducing or eliminating the second nebula. It's not really that useful and it kinda looks weird against the planet anyway. But trust me, I'm not sending it in until others have looked at my proposal and "proofread" me.

First of all, who is going to dock on Cape Soya with a Battleship? Secondly, I'll put a small exclusion around the base, but I'm hesitant. Asteroids are suppose to act as a deterrent to large ships. There are two other bases in the system planned and none of them have asteroids.

Also, I"m in the process of adding things to Saga. I'll have them attached perfectly next time.
