The Maquis in a Nutshell. - Pinko - 09-16-2013

Read as a rumor:

"I'll admit it, the Maquis scare the hell out of me. They don't fight like the Council, Corse, or the Brigands. They don't care if they die as long as they kill you too. We lost a transport awhile back because a lone Maquis came out of nowhere and rammed the bridge of the transport with his Gecko light fighter. What could we have done?"

Admiral Ackbar, of course, represents all of Disco's supposed 12 years old furry admiral leaders.

"Fear the Maquis, Royalist scum."

This means ramming is a valid tactic. It's canon. Everyone grab a light fighter start boopin' the first cap ship you see.

Yeah Maquis has been about the only Gallic faction I cared to look into and play. I was surprised I still have my Maquis L'Ane in my garage. They are pretty hardcore, yes, with little care about collateral damage or even innocent getting caught in their blasts. They were also, however, exceptionally smart with tech in particular with explosives including being the ones who disabled the minefield and open the path between Gallia and Sirius. I hope they haven't been made to devolve into brainless neanderthals. But hey maybe that rumour is based on a calculated sacrifice.
