When not serving on the VCS Metropolis as Taskmaster Kane's executive officer, Tobiah captains the Silent Man, a Raiders experiment in the aftermarket conversion of an old cruise liner into a light carrier. He is an avid fan of using the ship for odd purposes, including heading up humanitarian missions by stuffing a docking bay full of pharmaceuticals.

Angelica coordinates day-to-day operations aboard the Silent Man. Rarely seen on the bridge, she can often be found in the cargo bay taking inventory or in the mess hall acting as a personnel officer for the crew.

Barnes serves aboard the Silent Man as the officer in charge of general docking bay usage and maintenance. His former work as a docking bay engineer at Freeport 2 made him an excellent choice for the Silent Man's roster.

Since the VCS Metropolis can more or less be piloted in non-combat situations automatically, Daniel spends a fair bit of time commanding the Repentance, the Raiders' first Montante-class gunship in support of the Widerstandsarmee in the edges of Rheinland, shuttling back to the Natio when needed aboard the fleet's flagship.

Eugene handles everything in the cockpit-sized command centre of the Repentance that Daniel doesn't. He acts as the primary non-combat pilot of the ship and takes the back seat in an engagement, performing electronic warfare and even the occasional control of the ship's primary weapons.

A relatively new member of the Vagrant Raiders, Alice is a shy, young Bretonian woman with a calm demeanor -- as long as you don't trigger her short temper. Her command of the Turn It On Again serves as both a test of her abilities and Aquila Defense Systems' new Petrel-class armed transport.

Bob's eyepatch allowed him to simultaneously avoid combat pilot duty and look menacing on the comms when threatening Rheinland transports. He also coordinates boarding operations conducted by the sixteen VR ground troops aboard the Turn It On Again.

Kit Marsh is a fairly new member of the Vagrant Raiders. His easy-going attitude and ability to keep cool under pressure have lent themselves well to his role as the pilot and commanding officer of his Herring-class transport, the Electric Worry. He has a habit of stroking his beard whilst thinking. He is an incorrigible womaniser and flirts with almost any woman he meets.

Jeffrey Moulder is a long-time friend and co-pilot of Kit Marsh. He is just as capable as his comrade of flying and commanding the Electric Worry and often has cause to do so, if Marsh is taking a rest or is otherwise engaged. He has also had to pull his friend out of trouble more than once as his antics with the opposite sex have often landed him in hot water.

Alan Young is a no-nonsense marksman. His aim with the Electric Worry's heavy weapons is the best of the entire crew, as such the position of Gunnery Chief is his and his alone. He affectionately refers to the ship's weapons as his "darlings". When the rest of the crew is off-duty in the nearest pub, Alan will be meticulously cleaning and maintaining his charges.

Sergei is the engineer of the Electric Worry. He is a massive man standing at almost seven feet tall. He is built like a wall and has enough muscle to lift parts and machines that most men would need extra hands to even attempt. He has a very thick accent dating from his long service as an engineering contractor on Freeport 5. It was only two years ago that he met Kit and joined up with his crew. Despite his size, he is a surprisingly gentle person. He is never willingly violent and has a precision with mechanics that is almost uncanny for his size.
