Battle of Magellan (GRN vs Combined Magellan Fleet) - Fluffyball - 09-26-2013 ||||vs|||| * * Kusari Exiles, not Republic of Kusari The most usual and unthinkable battle has began in Magellan! GRN had brought many vessels to the Magellan, where they probably prepared for an assault from Leeds to California throught the Magellan system. To throw a battle against the Gallic Royal Navy and defend the Liberty and Bretonia bufor system, the fleet consiting of Liberty Navy, Bretonia Armed Forces and Kusari Exiles was formed. The most first parts of the battle took place almost all around the Magellan. Firstly, the suprise assault and numerous fleet of Gallic Royal Navy was winning, taking out a few Bretonia Armed Forces capital ships. It is said that GRN blocked access for a short period of time to Freeport 4. But soon the tide of the battle turned against GRN after the Liberty Navy and Kusari Exiles fleets joined in, along with rest of BAF reinforcements. The GRN fleet was forced by - unoffically named - Combined Magellan Fleet to leave the Magellan through the Leeds jumphole. Eventually, the counterattack was announced by the Combined Magellan Fleet, which lead the battle into the Bretonia Space - the Leeds system. Whole operation was aproved on fly by the one of BAF officers, to allow the Liberty Navy to aid BAF and Exiles. The hazardous counterattack, just next to the occupied and besieged by GRN Planet Leeds, is taking place. Only a little information is confirmed, but there are already casualities in Combined Magellan Fleet ranks - like IKS Hyogo of Kusari Exiles and yet uncomfimed two vessels of Liberty Navy. There are also gossips about Outcasts and Colonial Republic's vessels in the Combined Magellan Fleet, but those are not confirmed yet. Is the old phrase still in use, as "the enemy of my enemy is my friend?" Still, there was plenty of The Order vessels, but their role in the battle is not sure. One of the most notable events is a fact, that figure of ex-member of aristocratic Kusari family from Kyushu, Tsuzumi "Tsumi" Mori, defected from GRN's Foreign Legion on request of his relative, captain Katsuo Mori. Katsuo Mori died, when IKS Hyogo (the Kusari Destroyer of unknown, non-Kusari Exiles' origin) was destroyed. However, a rescue pod with Tsuzumi "Tsumi" Mori was recovered, with 107 other pods from the IKS Hyogo, by the Liberty Navy vessel and took back to California for possible medical care. It is also true, the enemy of our enemy is our friend. We will not stand by and watch as they take over, we to would suffer if they did. So for a better cause...one bigger then any man or woman, we fought...we all set aside our differences and fought together, and we will do it again and again if need be.
