I'm the Minister of Relations for Natio Octavarium and the head Taskmaster of the Vagrant Raiders. It's mighty good to hear from you folks again, but we're gonna need a bit more "something" to determine what you're interested in. I'm all ears though. Sincerely, Harold A. Kane Taskmaster, Vagrant Raiders Minister of Relations, Natio Octavarium === Transmission Ended === == Trace Failed == RE: To the heads of Natio Octavarium - Charos - 10-01-2013 Swift response Harold, I like that. We have got ourselves in alot of trouble the past few days, trouble that cost us alot of good men and damages on the Polyphemus. It pains me to say that our enemies were our own and now we're fugitives. We offer to grant the services of Polyphemus to your growing nation in exchange for a place to call home.
It is a powerful, experimental Arbiter-class battleship that has faced many opponents and proved to be quite sturdy, needless to say anything about it's crew. Does this sound interesting Harold? RE: To the heads of Natio Octavarium - Kazinsal - 10-01-2013 === Incoming Transmission ===
== Encryption: A few years old, but hasn't been used since == Fleet Captain Ro, This is indeed quite interesting. However, we need a few more details, specifically regarding your... "departure". Was this a forced departure, and your crew escaped with the Polyphemus? Was it voluntary, and your crew stole the ship? Will the Legion's remnants be invading our nation looking for your heads? From what you've said, this sounds like defection. Now, we've taken in a number of defectors, but none from an entity like the Legion, and certainly none with such firepower as the very battleship we modelled our own after. Which reminds me, you may have heard rumours of the VCS Metropolis making a return. They are indeed true. We modelled the exterior and armament capacities after the Arbiter-class battleship, though structurally it is more akin to the inner frame of the original Spyglass. So yes, we'd be interested in taking you and your crew in. We just need to chat a bit more. Sincerely, Harold A. Kane Taskmaster, Vagrant Raiders Minister of Relations, Natio Octavarium === Transmission Ended === == Trace Failed == RE: To the heads of Natio Octavarium - Charos - 10-01-2013 Excellent! I'll tell you all about our trip away from the Legion under the condition the information will only be known by you.
Few days ago, there was an internal dispute and the Lord Commander was captured and false trialed under false accusations for actions that undermined the Legion's existance. After an attempt of the traitors' to capture this ship, we busted our way out and went for Kansas. Now we are fugitives with a powerful warship at your door. I cannot guarantee the Legion will stay out but I can assure you that we were not alone. They have far bigger concerns than a stray Polyphemus. == Encryption: A few years old, but hasn't been used since == Fleet Captain Ro, So you're saying there's an infighting in the Legion. A schism. Please elaborate, and include whether or not taking you in would constitute taking sides an re-igniting a major conflict against the Hellfire Legion, or whatever's left of it. I know there was a major kerfuffle in Vespucci a while back, but I never heard of the outcome. The Raiders aren't very welcome there, apparently. How much time for hiding and repairs do you need? Sincerely, Harold A. Kane Taskmaster, Vagrant Raiders Minister of Relations, Natio Octavarium === Transmission Ended === == Trace Failed == RE: To the heads of Natio Octavarium - Charos - 10-03-2013 Our mechanics have estimated 20-30 days of open-space repairs since I don't think you've got a shipyard handy..?
Ah yes, the old Vespucci situation. Bunch of rogues and their outcast buddies figured it would be nice to take strolls, not something smart on their side I guess. Anyway, you have my word the Legion will not be attempting to do anything against your nation, there might be disturbances but they're not going to abandon their code. |
