The Borei, if you all have read, are strange lifeforms from the "Ceti" systems that were blocked off by the IMG and never talked about. However, I'm wanting (and hoping) to bring them back in 4.86. So I'm sitting here thinking, what would the Borei ships look like? Small and dark? Or big and colorful? I want to make them look technologically advanced so that it scares the bejesus out of people who see them, but I don't know where to go with it...

Much help would be apprciated.

P.S. I no way does this mean the Borei will be apart of 4.85 or anytime soon, I'm just bored because I have nothing to do and want to start a new project.

They sound like a mix of the Wraith from Stargate Atlantis, and the Borg. The Wraith ships are pretty intimidating looking, I would think that using that basic concept as a place to start would be good. Dont copy it of course, then there will just be OORP madness because "my ship is uber 1337 and is teh pwnzor and lookz sw33t"

So in essence like a Viper but with more sharp edgy protrusions and a black and either red/blue/green skin. If i had any skill at modeling id try and make something up, but I lack said skill. *looks around for Jinx*

It looks like it might fit, I was looking for a mix of "Organic" and "Technological" but that still fits the bill, will go with something similar to that.

I reckon there ships should be dark and really sleek, no spikes or anything.

I'm thinking the same. Something sleek, dark, and small, really hard to see, but not hard to hit. Fast, sleek, and with a dark almost pitch black hull.

I didnt mean spikes, just trying to say i think the edges should be sharp, not curvy like almost every FL ship.

Ok aside from the fact is a Starfox ship, I was thinking along the lines of this....

I don't mind the bottom one, but the others just don't seem right.

I was thinking more like this different of course, enough imports already. But this is the sort of thing I was thinking of, smooth and dark.

As you said Wraith ships.
