Headphone Suggestion? - SMGSterlin - 10-20-2013 The left side of my headphones finally went out, after repairing it once, so I'm in the market for a new pair. It can either be a headset or a regular headphone, I don't use a mic very often, but it's handy for some games like MW2 (shut up) or Gmod:TTT. Price range tops out at about $45 or so. RE: Headphone Suggestion? - aakopa - 10-20-2013 I recommend Logitech G930. RE: Headphone Suggestion? - SMGSterlin - 10-20-2013 I don't have a good experience with Logitech... I bought the same wired USB version of that headset before, and it was DOA... Just a big waste of money, emphasis on BIG. So yeah... I might be the only one who has had a DOA headset from Logitech, but still, that tends to make me stay away from Logitech. RE: Headphone Suggestion? - Anaximander - 10-20-2013 If I was you, I'd get "proper" headphones rather than something branded with "gaming" or coming from a PC hardware manufacturer. You pay extra for the shiny lights and the word "gaming". Get something from a trusted audio brand, like Sennheiser for instance. Ugly looking plastic things, but some of the models have excellent speakers and they come in all price ranges. Here's some suggestions for <$50 headphones from Cnet: http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57448551-1/best-headphones-for-under-$50/ RE: Headphone Suggestion? - roadrunner - 10-20-2013 I suggest those http://www.ebay.com/bhp/creative-fatal1ty-gaming-headset i use that model and have not had any problem RE: Headphone Suggestion? - tothebonezone - 10-20-2013 (10-20-2013, 09:17 AM)SMGSterlin Wrote: I don't have a good experience with Logitech... Bet a dollarydoo I could've troubleshooted it for you. But I have the Logitech G930s as well, they're the longest lasting pair of headphones I've ever had. Ever But yes, expensive. RE: Headphone Suggestion? - Coin - 10-20-2013 ive been using steelseries for about 2 years. apart from a little corrosion inside the volume control, making it a little scratchy, which is probably due to 365 days a year of humidity, they work just fine RE: Headphone Suggestion? - SMGSterlin - 10-21-2013 @Saronsen, I tried multiple things to try to fix it. Installing software, trying different USB ports, different computers, etc... Nothing worked, the computer wouldn't even detect that something had been plugged in. I'm thinking about getting the ones linked below. They got a nice range, the reviews are nice, and people say that they have lasted a long time. My only real concern in the size, people say the headset is small, and people with big heads (like myself) might find them uncomfortable. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826249085 Opinions? RE: Headphone Suggestion? - SnakThree - 10-21-2013 I just got Steelseries 4H. Not that awful price, not that awful sound quality as in 5$ headphones. Convenient mic/volume control. Retractable mic is awesome too. I am loving the sound in games so far but haven't noticed a lot of improvement in audio quality while listening to music.
