i realize that the armoured liner was crap. - maybe the model itself wasn t too bad, but it wouldn t really fit into freelancer. - the big engines and the overall rather unfreelancerish design elements. - so that project is scrapped.
i made a new talarca replace that features kusari elements while actually keeping the main talarca shape - since i think that its not really unpopular. - i intend to give its skin a much higher resolution than the current one which is - ...... utter crap.

to be honest - not much has changed from the old model. - its a little more detailed and a little more FLish - i think the kusari feeling is OK ( thanks to the wings ) - i added two blades to the front hull ( a bit like the ones on the battleship ) - maybe thats a bit much... they are easily removed.

It would be a laughable understatement to say that you've improved upon the model.
One thing in particular that I've forever found irksome about the Talarca is that it seems to be lacking the components associated with a ship. It has no perceptible 'nicknacks' such as delightful comm units, windows or other such sundries. It's essentially a triangle attached to other triangles being pushed around by a rectangle.
Some lovely additions in that regard would make for a marked increase in the vessel's character.

The old one was a perfect Battlestar replace, this is a perfect Talarca replace.

Is it normal that I notice a mix of Eppy's OC caps (Swordish shape) and Kusari elements.
Thus giving it a Really cool look for a Dragons-OC co-project?

its not really made to look like epyons swords. - when you look at the current talarca ( star trek model ) - it has pretty much this shape ( triangle to the half - then a shaft and solar wings ) - well, admittedly, its swordlike - but then.... even a liner is somewhat sword like ( or sex-toy however you like to look at it )

Very nice. I also noticed a similarity to the OC battleship of Eppy's, but that's not a bad thing. Looks very good.
Assuming the Talarca keeps the same info card, this would make a great flagship for many factions (Farmer's Alliance, GMC, maybe Hogosha...).

keep in mind - this is nothing but a rough concept. - it has around 400 polygons only - so there is plenty of room to add tons of details like antennae, sat dishes - err.. someone mentioned bikini babes - etc.
