Ensign Ethan Tamner here, finally got my transmitter fixed by the engineers at Baltimore.

I went out from Manhattan and did a patrol of New York, finding no trouble. However, halfway through my patrol circuit, my shield generator failed, and I pulled back into Baltimore to find out what the problem was. They said I would have to go and get a new shield from Virginia, as this one's power capacitators had been completely fried.
So I went off to Virginia and docked at **BASE CLASSIFIED** and outfitted my Avenger with a new shield.

As I exited the jumphole, an outcast gunboat accosted me! Surprised to see an outcast near the Virginia jumphole, I was forced to flee as my Avenger was not up to the task of defeating it.

I re-entered New York, with the gunboat pursuing me. I called for aid, but no other navy vessels were available. I fled to Fort Bush, with the gunboat apparently being forced to turn back at Norfolk.

Upon arriving at Fort Bush, I found a xeno pilot, Windfinder, terrorizing local traffic in the area. I quickly powered up my weapons and engaged him:

He took heavy damage in the fight, and I was about to destroy his ship, when the outcast gunboat came shooting out of the tradelane from Norfolk! Taking advantage of my momentary distraction, the Xeno engaged cruise engines and fled, leaving me with the outcast gunboat again. I attempted to engage him, but his shields were too strong for my weapons to take down. Realising I was fighting a losing battle, I fled with a severe engine coolant leak, and docked on Manhattan for urgent repairs.

I should be back in space again as soon as my ship is repaired.

What a busy day indeed. Artifacts smugglers galore.

The day started off normally. I met a rogue near Norfolk, who's equipment, oddly, was mostly nomad like.
Despite this powerful weaponry, he felt my lasers and his ship was destroyed quickly.

Then the smuggler parade started. The first float, err....smuggler, was apparently a republican trader by the name of AngryDee. He managed to dock on Manhattan, and once he exited, his artifacts were all gone. Neverless, we had evidence, so we proceeded to hand out the fine. After a bit of brief hostility, he was eventually persuaded to pay up, which he did.

Then two Zoners from the new Zoner Legion appeared. Both were hauling artifacts. I pursued Terk into the badlands, where I discontinued my pursuit. Returning towards Norfolk, I caught his friend also heading towards the badlands. Luckily, I managed to stop him, and since he refused to drop his artifacts, I opened fire.
Unfortunately, he was able to escape into the badlands, but I did manage to cause major damage to his ship and his cargo pods.

Coming back once again to Norfolk, who do I see but Terk, again, trying to escape to Texas this time. Luckily we stopped him and demanded the fine. He refused and opened fire on me, and we retaliated, destroying his ship.

As if smugglers weren't enough, a corsair popped up from Texas, and oddly, he fled towards the badlands. Suicidal much? I discontinued pursuit as he entered the badlands, but when returning to Norfolk, who do I see? This Corsair again! The fool runs away, and I pursue. He used the trade lane, and abruptly jumped out, heading towards a jumphole. He never made it. Though I over shot him, other officers did not, and managed to destroy him.

Then even more fun!

Two rogue gunboats arrived. We quickly and swiftly dealt with each one, ending their pathetic lives.

*static* To all Liberty forces, be advised Captain James Decker has been found to be nomad infested and is armed and incredibly dangerous.

He sabotaged the LNX_ThunderBay, murdered numerous crewmembers and escaped before we could apprehend him.

Last reports have him in a Guardian class fighter, but he may have taken control of the LNX_Yellowstone, a gunboat class ship.

I suggest we attempt to capture him, but he cannot be allowed to move freely with the knowledge he has of the navy and its protocols.

The ThunderBay will be in drydock for a bit for repairs and cannot join in the search.

Subject: Ship Ban, Copernicus.

On station at Norfolk earlier I encountered a Junker registered Rhienland Pirate Cruiser, designation Copernicus. Informing him that Rhienland warships were banned in Liberty I requsted he leave Liberty space several times. Instead the Commander chose to make a run for it to Rochester. After a lengthy debate on secure comms the Pirate Cruiser undocked from Rochester to defend the station from barrage of fire I was placing on the station. It was then I turned my attention on the offender and destroyed the Cruiser.

For refusal to follow a military directive I have placed a ban on this ship in Liberty, Junker's are not above the law and do not pick and choose which laws to follow. Copernicus is to be asked to leave on contact in Liberty space, if the Commander of this ship refuses the use of lethal force is authorised.

Ensign Ethan Tamner reporting in.

Today's duty started out with me hopping into my Avenger, whereupon I was called by Samuel Stubbs to assist at Z-21, as some ships were suspected to be incoming. I flew there as fast as I could, and upon getting there I took up a defense position along with Mickael Artmann and paladin_justice_giver, a gunboat.

We had been guarding for around 10 minutes when a Barghest bomber, DARKG)-(OST, came flying out of the jumpgate. The penalty for tresspassing in Z-21 is of course death, so such was swiftly delivered to the pilot:

After the barghest was taken down, Samuel went to patrol California with an LPI officer. Paladin, Mickael and I continued to guard Z-21, but there were no other attempts to gain entry. Soon afterwards, I was called out to engage a Coalition pilot detected in Colorado, but as I was en-route to the jumpgate, he began to broadcast over system comms. Realising that he was now in New York, and that the jumpgate was clear, I went to the rough co-ordinates of the Colorado jumphole, where I detected him on my scanners, but was unable to get a clear lock on his position before he jumped back into Colorado. I was about to jump after him when a Xeno, White-Tiger, came out of the jumphole and a dogfight ensued.

I had been fighting him inside the debris field for about 15 minutes when a stray shot punctured my fuel tank, and my eject pod automatically shot me out before my Avenger exploded in a fireball. Samuel sent a DSE repair team to pick me up, and they delivered my pod to Manhattan, when I discovered that there were no Avengers available for me there. I therefore got into a Guardian and took off to patrol the system.

By this time Samuel and all other Liberty personnel had gone off-duty, and so I patrolled new york on my own for a while. Around 30 minutes into my patrol circuit, 10+ outcasts came flying into New York and began to attack the Manhattan-Westpoint tradelane. I immediately warned all civilians against going past that area, and sent out hailing calls to all Liberty Forces vessels. I was unable to get a signal on any of them except for one, the LNS-Yellowstone, a cruiser. We took up position at Norfolk and waited while I resent hailing signals, but still there was no reply. An outcast gunboat came within 4k of us, and we set off to pursue. The gunboat was dodging like mad, with the Yellowstone and I pounding on its shields, when about 2 minutes into the fight the rest of the Outcast fleet arrived. Most of them immediately targeted me in my fighter, destroying my ship in a single salvo of missiles and laser pulses. The Yellowstone managed to take down one of the gunboats but was destroyed by the rest of the swarm. My pod's auto-thrusters activated and slowly took me away from the fleet, where a passing convoy picked me up and dropped me off at Manhattan. I am currently undergoing a checkup in medbay. As soon as the all-clear is given, I will be back in space.
