Reasonably quiet day today, only a few misguided Mercenaries and smugglers. Nearly all were apprehended and dealt with.

The day started off with a spate of traders and/or smugglers attempting to break the trade embargo between Rhienland and Liberty. Lieutenant Rick Gunner apprehended each trader attempting to violate Liberty law, see report D-12A for more details.

Ronin-Yann was found to be kidnapping Liberty law enforcers, and after refusing to transfer the hostages over to my ship, myself and an LSF agent opened fire on the target, rescuing all hostages, who suffered only minor injuries.

I returned to Manhatten to investigate a possible Cardamine smuggler that was coming in fast. Sure enough, a Cardamine smuggler by the name of Moon-Curser was inbound, and i was hot on his tail. Unfortunately, some idiot at docking control allowed the smuggler to dock with Manhatten, and the drugs have not yet been recovered.

Later on in the day, a Mercenary by the name of Daniel Feenix was picked up around Planet Housten in Texas. He voiced the fact that he was going to kill me to get $1mil from his Outcast Dons. He didn't stand a chance. The Mississippi opened fire after these comm messages were intercepted, and the Mercenary was downed soon after.

An interesting situation occurred towards the end of my shift, when I encountered a Bounty Hunter Battlecruiser (Morningstar), packed full of Nomad entities. He claimed to be on a mission to Willard Research Station, and asked that we escort him there under fear of heavy Hacker attack. I decided the high risk of transferring the Nomads outweighed the risk of trusting this Bounty Hunter. Myself and the Enchanted escorted him to Willard, where I received word that he successfully transferred the Nomads to the safe hands of the scientists at the research station.

Topic: Requesting Permission for Extended Vacation

As I have reported several times, my mind seems to be a favourite target for nomads. They have repeatedly launched attacks on my mind, trying to turn me against my allies and friends, and to pull me into their own ranks.
I can feel my grasp on reality slipping, and so I am requesting an extended vacation so I may regain control over myself, lessening the risk of my defecting to the nomads.

//Computer seems to be dead. I can play from a laptop, but being a touchpad it is damned near impossible to fight, and with the gungun attitude of some unlawfuls, it is probably better to waste my time powertrading. I hate laptops.

Now onto the report.

Today, two things of interest occurred. We got a tip off from a trader about a massive smuggling run that was about to enter Texas. I headed to the Junker base, Beaumont I believe, which was notorious for being a dropping point for smugglers. I never quite understood why the Navy hasn't cracked down upon it, but in any case I caught sight of the three smugglers, all in advanced trains, making a beeline to Beaumont. I knew I did not have any time to halt them as they were about to enter the station so I quickly recorded cargo scan imagery displaying the many tons of Cardamine aboard.

I then waited outside the station, as the uneasy Junkers stood by and watched. Suddenly, two of the smugglers undocked from the station. One fled as soon as he saw me, and try as I might, the bloody wreckage strewn about prevented any CDs from reaching him.

However, we did manage to stop the smuggler Weedalot. After some reinforcements arrived, we demanded he pay the tax of four million credits. Surprisingly, he did not consider this worth his life, and scorned us, refusing to pay. When we attempted to disable his shields and arrest him, he fired upon a LPI officer and we returned fire. Needless to say, he was destroyed, laughing as his 100 million credit ship was destroyed from underneath his feet....



Returning to NY, then came reports of a pirate near West Point...Phate. After some brief chasing, Phate fled to California, when I got a report of a pirate near Manhattan. Moving there I detected an Outcast...Jim McKinsey. I engaged, and soon reinforcements arrived. While Jim was a speedy pilot, and managed to force Lt. Gunner to flee and destroyed Officer Hasting's ship, it was clear he would not survive long.

But, no, suddenly two Phantoms appeared. They engaged, and soon Lt. Commander McTyre fell. It was a furious fight, and my scanners picked up a large hostile incoming...It was a Lane Hacker gunboats. While the Phantoms ranted on about getting a pig to leave, I ordered the silent Iowa, a cruiser class ship nearby, to open fire on the gunboat. However, to my dismay, even when the gunboat fell, the phantoms still attacked the cruiser, still rambling on about pigs. Try as the brave crew may, the Iowa fell after a furious battle.

Then, only me and Hobgl were left, and the fight continued. The minutes ticked by, and eventually Hobgl was hit by a lucky missile and forced to eject. The sole officer left, I evaded my way towards Trenton, hoping to gain assistance from the naval pilots loitering there. Weaving in and out, thrusting close to the Atmosphere in a attempt to push my opponents in, I dodged and skipped, moving about, turning and shooting once the chance came up. But, I had two phantoms and a outcast on me, and by no means did it seem like I could escape...When..

The firing stop. The Phantoms started screaming about the king of pigs, and Jim prayed for his life. I stared in amazement until I saw the Bounty Hunter Battleship loom from behind, firing at the outcast. Returning to my sense, I immediately ordered to Battleship to disengage and leave Liberty, but despite my objections and commands the Battleship simply ignored me, not stopping until Jim's ship lay in peices. The Phantoms...simply blabbering about the king of pigs, fled.

While the help was a reprise from battle, The increasing number of Bounty Hunter Battleships alarms me. Four have now been spotted during my shifts, and all of them refused naval orders to cease fire and leave Liberty, giving outrageous excuses such as "just passing by" or "Bounties > laws."

Perhaps something should be done....

I apoligize for the rather disorganized nature of this duty log, but yesterday i was in a nasty incident with a 522, and my bomber blew up on the landing pad on Manhattan. (More about this incident at the end of this Duty Log.

So, i will only be able to post the notes off of my kneepad that i took while i was in my fighter and bomber. At the end of the post, i will add the gunsight shots that were taken and automatically saved by my PERSCOM account.

4:50 GMT+2: Black_hero_[GER] is apprehended with Artifacts. He did not speak English, so i explained in German that it was against the law. He dropped his cargo and left.

Yesterday, i had the priveledge to serve under Captain Winston, and while i was on a routine patrol after a lengthy engagement with two phatoms and a Jim.McKinsey, i spotted a 522 BattleCruiser near Manhattan. We formed up and engaged the traitor.

After a lengthy fight, I made a final pass at him with my bomber, scoring a hit that opened a breach in his hul, that the LNS-Sacramento used to destroy the reactor. Unfortunatly, my vessel was VERY close to the Battlecruiser, and the resulting explosion severely damaged my vessel, and i recieved a broken arm and plasma burns over 60% of my body.

My ship was badly damaged, and i was barely able to land on Manhattan. I requested a medical team to assist me, along with a marine corps guard. My ship made it down, i was removed (somehow) and being carried off, when the ships reactor blew, causing a massive fire, and destroying the primary fuel tanks for that landing pad. The LNS-Sacramento sent shuttles down with fire-suppressors, and one ended up crashing on re-entry.

Thanks to the brave firefighters and navymen aboard the Sacramento and on the Manhattan landing pads, i was rescued, and i am currently recovering well. The burns still hurt like a b****, but i will survive. At the hospital, i recieved emergency surgery on my arm, and they managed to mend that very well.

I am currently back on duty, albeit i am still recovering from my wounds.

My report for yesterday.

I departed from the Mississippi, linking up with the numerous navy officers and LSF agents. Vice Admiral Hale ordered patrols to be set and Mr. Tex and I were off to Texas. The Vice Admiral also joined us in the routine patrol. On the tradelane to Houston, we found 2 pirates by the name of Ashes.Yotaka, a Falcata Bomber and Blackbeard's.Pearl a Rogue gunboat. We quickly engaged however Admiral Hale was shot down by a missile barrage. I had no information on the location of Mr. Tex, however he did call in reinforcements. The gunboat, realizing I was the only one there, allowed me and the bomber to spar. That soon ended when other navy officers arrived and suddenly I was bolted forward. Realizing that 2 of his dragonfly missiles punctured the backside of my ship, I had to eject. While in transit it Houston, I received reports that the pirates were destroyed.

After my ship was salvaged and repaired to a slightly sub-par condition, I flew over to California meeting 2 mercenarys, Crimson.Reaver and Azure.Reaver. They were both unaware of the mercenary ban we had imposed on Liberty. I asked them to leave 3 times, getting the response "Again... there are two of us and one of you. You cannot impose your laws on us." What he said was true, however I asked for backup and as soon as they arrived, they started claiming that they were on their merry way until I stopped them. And with that said, they left.

The last topic on my report is again, Embargo infractures. I met the red hessian cruiser the_GIVER, loitering around the New York gate in Texas. He started firing as soon as he saw me, as we have met many other times. While I was dodging, 2 traders in advanced trains were making a run for it to the gate with diamonds. I ordered both of them to stop, but to no avail. I left the cruiser and jumped back to New York catching one of the traders, Freewind. I explained him the whole situation, while we were drifting toward West Point on the WP-Norfolk tradelane. I ordered him to drop the cargo numerous times but he kept trying to cruise away. I distrupted him everytime, and blew out his shields. Seeing my debilitator's power, he flew back to the Texas gate, claiming that I lost him some money and complained. I told him that there are exceptions of the Embargo and he jumped back to Texas. I recieved his comm signature while I was at Fort Bush. I told LPI-Karl.Agathon to be on the lookout. Minutes later, him and a couple other LN officers found him about 8k away from Manhattan. The officers stopped him and asked him to drop his cargo. With the officers surrounding him, he suddenly jetted forward, activating his engines but was destroyed.
